Perfect starting point to go in any direction: 10min walk to Gastown, Robson, waterfront... Staff was attentive, and genuine. Rooms were clean, bigger than I’d thought and very well maintained! Lobby smelled amazing every time we passed through!! We will DEFINITELY BE STAYING HERE AGAIN!!

Location could not be better! Right by waterfront station. Despite the pandemic Alison welcomed us and made us feel comfortable right away. Rooms are very clean and recently renovated. We got a corner suite with amazing views of the city and you get a glimpse of the waterfront. Lots of good restaurants around and your literally right in Gas town. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit to Vancouver.

We stayed here for a week recently and were so very happy with our stay. The front desk staff of Allison, June and Henry were exceptional. Allison and June consistently went above and beyond for us on many occasions. The hotel was very clean and followed social distancing etiquette and protocols. Our room view of the harbour was stunning from the 22nd floor. This is our new go to hotel for downtown Vancouver.

Have you ever looked forward to sharing a lovely hotel room with your partner then found that one of you disturbs the sleep of the other and, unlike at home, there is no escaping to second bedroom? We have found our Vancouver answer in this tucked away great hotel. All rooms are actually suites with doors separating the bedroom from a living area with pullout sofa bed. The location was fantastic - 10 minutes walk from downtown and a few minutes from Waterfront Station and Gastown. Lots of food choices - even a pho takeout below the hotel on Hastings that was great. And with the suites you can bring your food home and not sit in your bedroom to eat! This was a great feature during covid times. Rooms and all areas were spotless and staff were so friendly and helpful - when we left something in the room they found it right away and helped us arrange for a courier to return it to us. For the price of one decent hotel room we can now both get a good night's sleep. Bliss! Thanks Alison and Brad, see you next time we are in Town!

Beautiful Suites but other aspects are just OK

Spent New Years eve in this property after staying at the JW Marriot for almost 10 days. We thought there was going to be fireworks that we can see from our suite but for some reason it was canceled. Lets start with the good. The rooms are pretty nice. It was like a small one bedroom apartment without the kitchen. What you see in the pictures is what you get. The location is good especially if you are a first time visitor. Its pretty central to everything. For us, we would rather be in the JW Marriot area since its more residential, less chaotic but still walkable. The service here is just OK. Nothing impressive, nothing special. The hotel was not busy at all and we asked for a late check out the next day and they want to charge for that. I know it was not busy coz I asked another employee. Most Marriot hotels would have no problem allowing guests to check out later especially if it doesnt cost them anything and the guest is a silver or a gold member. I was a bit turned off by this. The biggest deduction in stars is the sound proofing. Mind you that I am noise sensitive so this issue might not matter to "regular" people. Although I did not have this issue staying at the JW Marriot or the Westin on Robson. We stayed at 1815 which looks like a corner unit. I was hearing sounds from above through the vents when we were in the living room. For these reasons, I am not a return customer but I wouldnt really stop people from staying her if the issues I posted are non issues for you.
