Terrible hotel. Outdated. Bad service. Will not stay again.

Andy G on Apr 09, 2024

This is the absolute worst Marriot property I’ve stayed at. I’m at 5 year Platinum member and my benefits were not acknowledged. I was forced to upgrade to a larger room because I had a toddler and they counted him as a guest and the standard room I booked only accommodates 2. I asked for a complimentary upgrade and they said they don’t offer such upgrades to anyone. I had no choice but to upgrade since I had to prepay for my room. Now the room was a 1 bedroom king bed. It’s very outdated and the toilet was clogged twice. There was one night where we didn’t have hot water for a shower. My towels smelled like smoke. The AC was extremely loud and barely cooled the room. Now upon checkout I forgot to ask for late check out and was berated over the phone by an employee saying that I’m on a discounted rate and I need to know the “rules” about checking out. I will never ever stay at this property or another Delta again.

Nice Place to Stay for a Ski Vacay

turtleloves2travel (Apex, North Carolina) on Apr 01, 2024

We stayed at the Delta Village Suites for 5 nights in March. The hotel was conveniently located in Whistler Village. It was walkable to the slopes, but definitely not right there. They had a convenient location to rent skis on the first floor and offered ski valet service at the bottom of the Gondola, so you did not have to take your skis back to the hotel everyday. If you are looking for a luxury resort this is not it, but it was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We had the one bedroom suite and had a nice little kitchen that had everything you need in it, plus an in-room washer and dryer. Our room was attended to daily, which was nice and the cleaning staff were nice and always asked if we need anything. They had three hot tubs and a pool. The hot tubs seemed really hot, so if you have children be careful. Overall and great stay and I would stay there again.

Superb service

George S on Mar 19, 2024

Used this hotel for a 2-week staying Skiing with friends. The hotel were extremely accommodating, the services and amenities were very good with access to a pool, sauna and three jacuzzi's. The best part of all was the shuttle service to and from the slopes that saved a 10-15 minute walk, this ran every 10 minutes or so and dropped you right by the slopes, and picked you up again if you were back and done before four. The cleaners came round every couple of days and cleaned everything, dishwasher on, new towels / robes and bedsheets and the room was spotless when we came back. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel to stay at if you're visiting to Ski.

Well worth a visit

Claire H (Sheffield, United Kingdom) on Mar 15, 2024

Great hotel, spacious rooms, friendly helpful staff with the added bonus of having the fabulous brickworks on the doorstep. Delta delivered to help us celebrate a milestone birthday with a room with a view, a personal card and some chocolate - thank you, we’ve had the best time and can’t wait to come back

Nice Hotel, Could Use Some TLC

S_Terry13 (New York) on Mar 02, 2024

We (2 couples) stayed here from Tuesday - Monday for a ski vacation. It’s a generally nice hotel and a very conveniently location, but some items in the rooms seem to be a bit worn down - likely due to general wear and tear + some inconsiderate guests Cons: the shower diverter was very stuck on the room with the tub, we arrived after midnight so I wasn’t about to call maintenance then, but they came later. One of the coat hooks fell off the wall (maintenance call #2). The dryer in our unit was sometimes a challenge to use because the door mechanism wasn’t always making the connection that the door was closed. The start button on the dishwasher was cosmetically broken. The stove/oven wouldn’t work - turns out the fuse tripped during a prior guests stay (maintenance call #3). If you book the double room suite (which can sleep 6 including the pullout couch) there is not enough seating for 6 people in common areas. Kitchen table is for 4 and living room has one couch for 3 + 1 chair. Our room was on the top floor next to the elevator so we constantly heard it going up and down - was a bit disruptive while sleeping. It was also very warm even with the heat turned off. We had the doors and windows cracked most times we were in the room. Random things: we had to ask for a sponge to hand wash some dishes (and water bottles we packed), as well as more paper towel and a baking sheet. Our rooms weren’t serviced one day for unknown reasons, another day they emptied the trash but didn’t replace the liners which was odd. For some reason our room didn’t have the complimentary robes everyone was wearing at the pool so we had to ask for them. Kitchen is strangled equipped, mostly basics. Pros: location, overall amenities. Nice touch to have composting bins in the kitchen. The filtered water machine in the lobby was so helpful and had really nice options - still, sparkling and 4 flavors too. Staff were friendly although we sometimes got mixed information. The hot tub and pool were nice (although I wish the pool was warmer). Locker rooms were very helpful to shower before we departed. Shuttle was very convenient to get to the mountain, albeit at times extremely crowded and others not at all. The drivers Stephen and Matthew were very nice as well
