Fine for what we needed, but a little underwhelming.

novington66 on Apr 14, 2024

There are two buildings and our room was in the older, more tired one which was a bit disappointing. Especially as we had to walk over to the newer and much nicer tower for breakfast and the pool. It was almost a taunt, this is where you could’ve been staying. However, breakfast was lovely. Our room was fine for what we needed and in a good location. Be warned though that the deposit takes ages to work its way back to you - I checked out over 10 days ago and still haven’t had it back.

Great location and clean

Nikkia27 (Berkshire) on Apr 12, 2024

Just back in from a two night stay with our family in April. The hotel is located centrally and lots of great places are walkable. Our room was very clean and spacious. We did find the pillows super squashy and would have preferred a firmer pillow, but it was fine. We called maintenance out to fix a dribbling cold tap, but they came out within the hour and fixed it - just a loose cable. So very responsive. Hotel pool was nice but lots of children in it so not a relaxing swim. Jacuzzi was nice and hot. There's three gym rooms to enjoy if that's your thing too!

Exceptional service: a night of peace restored by Jimmy M

Crystal C on Apr 12, 2024

Jimmy M from Engineering went above and beyond to ensure a peaceful stay after noisy neighbours disrupted the tranquility. He promptly addressed a malfunctioning TV remote and arranged for a room change to a quieter location, even providing a complimentary wine coupon as a gesture of goodwill. Thanks again Jimmy M for his exceptional service!

Average at best

Zigett (London, United Kingdom) on Mar 30, 2024

Well located downtown hotel. We were upgraded to a family room (2 bedrooms) in the south tower, which had low ceilings, a rather small bathroom with tub bath/shower, and precariously wall-mounted TVs. The room felt quite dated and there were no USB sockets. The health centre is located in the north tower on the ground floor. It's quite a trek from the south tower. There's a relatively small pool with a couple of jacuzzis. The gym area is split into a number of zones and is fine for a decent workout. The main plus point is the Executive Lounge on the 25th floor of south tower, which was a duplex arrangement with panoramic views and an outside terrace. The lounge was open for breakfast between 6:30-10:30am (7:00-11:00am at weekends) and served a small selection of hors d'oeuvres between 5:00-8:00pm. Most of the food was fairly average and alcoholic drinks were only available to purchase (8.00 CAD for a beer)! All things considered, this is a fairly average and dated city hotel which is fine for a short stay if the price is right.

Good for Bonvoy Elite

Michael C on Mar 29, 2024

Great hotel. Good service. The lounge for Bonvoy Elite was good with several good warm options and great snacks in between. Check in was good with requests for the room accommodated - north tower, high floor. Pool and gym were both good. Location was great and walkable to anywhere you need to be downtown.
