My partner booked a week here staying at the new Escape Adults only part. From the minute we arrived it was total luxury. We were celebrating my 50th birthday while there and wanted something special and that’s exactly what we got. The staff are more like friends and nothing is too much trouble, they were wonderful and a credit to Avella. The food was first class and the wines and cocktails free flowing. My birthday was made special with my room being dressed up, dinner and special drinks, a birthday card from staff and they sang happy Birthday to me. The room was fantastic and the views, soaking tub and plunge pool were just perfect. We had treatments from the spa in our room on the veranda watching the sun set. The mini bar was restocked everyday, bottle of champagne on 1st night, great facilities in the rooms. We couldn’t fault it and it will only get better as it’s so new at the moment. It was a very special place and so were the staff who I will remember fondly and look forward to seeing them again soon. Totally recommend Nonsuch bay for a perfect escape!

We holiday 2x year to the Caribbean and Antigua was by far one of the nicest we have ever been to. We are regulars at 5 star resorts and The Escape at Nonsuch Bay did not disappoint. From our arrival to departure, the staff at both the couples only Escape side and the traditional Nonsuch resort were there to cater every need and desire. GROUNDS: Stunning. The view is beyond expectations. ROOM: 10/10 Brand new couples units that are the perfect blend of tasteful modernism and luxury. Each of the 40 suites maximizes the breathtaking view of the bay (complete with sunsets), each with a lovely daybed and infinity plunge pool and outdoor bath. Top of the line bed appointments and linens...prepare yourself for the finest of vacay sleeps! FOOD/RESTAURANT: Spectacular. Chef Mitchell and his team OUTDID themselves on a consistent basis providing the finest a la carte menu that you would be hard to top on the island. They were outstanding in accommodating our vegan and vegetarian requirements and plated our food in the most beautiful manner. All inclusive offers breakfast, lunch and leisurely dinner as well as tapas offerings from 11-5 pm every day. DRINKS: Fantastic. Vincent is a gem of a human. He ensures that your every need is met and has a genuine care for the guests at the resort. POOL: Beyond stunning. As with the rest of the Escape, the pool is situated to maximize the view. Top of the line chaises provide a seat for every possible guest, with towels. No shortage of seats here.

If you are looking for small, remote and quiet this is the place for you. The resort is located on a hillside with a small beach. So if you have mobility issues this is not the best option for you. We stayed in suite 1512 which had a view of the ocean through the palm trees. The suite had separate air conditioning units, one for for the bedroom, ensuite bathroom area and one for the main living area. There was a full kitchen (we didn't use it because we were on the all-inclusive plan), a dining area, living room, wrap around porch and balcony with two sitting areas. The food was better than average with buffet breakfast, always featuring a custom omelette chef. Buffet lunches invariably had a fish feature and selection of desserts. Dinner is a la carte with four courses. It's not quite at the fine dining level but you will always find something to enjoy. As for the beach, its small but with lots of lounge chairs, never a worry about finding one. If you're a sailor they have lots of boats. Lessons available. There is a daily snorkeling trip to Green Island, $15 US per person but worth the trip. The staff are invariably welcoming. There is only one thing I would change. The wine and liquor offered are of an inferior quality. After trying what was available I decided there was nothing worth drinking. I understood from various chats that I had that it wasn't always that way. Change isn't always good. One strike against a very nice experience.

First-ever trip to anywhere in the Caribbean, and a wonderful location. The Escape is the very new (three weeks old when we were there) adults-only section. Spectacular setting, very special room amenities (especially the private plunge pool and outdoor soaking tub) and a dedication to service. Yes, there are some downsides to being so new, but I am certain they will work out the few issues very soon. And then there are surprises, such as a twice-daily, free boat ride (five minutes) to a deserted island for snorkeling, the welcome bottle of champagne and an overall friendly attitude that makes you feel like family. When we left, it was easy to promise that we would return to this very special paradise.

Nonsuch Bay is perfect for families with young kids. They offer babysitting service so that the parents can relax and enjoy time to themselves. Very thoughtful! The staff was amazing and made this place unique. They remembered little details about me and made sure I enjoyed my time in Antigua. Michelle was an angel and took really good care of me. Sheena was incredibly nice and friendly to me. Geena was my pal at the resort. And everyone (the gentleman delivered my sandwich late at night, and the lady noticed that I canceled my taxis and arranged another activity for me. Sorry I don't remember their names) made my stay unforgettable!
