From the moment I contacted The Belize Collection (the management company for Umaya Resort) and spoke with Ryan Sosa, I knew this was the resort I wanted to visit! I was stressed out on what to do for my daughter's 3rd birthday and I had the idea, why not visit my hometown of Placencia village to celebrate this wonderful milestone! After browsing numerous resorts along the Placencia Peninsula, I came across the Umaya Resort & Adventures. It was dreamy! A huge pool, a flawless beach, and an on-site Laguna restaurant with breathtaking sunset views of the lagoon and the gorgeous Mayan mountains of Belize. Plus, a poolside Pizzaria! All the amenities, like bikes and kayaks. You name it! I immediately contacted them to make reservations. My first visit to Umaya was amazing. Kim at the front desk was warm and welcoming. We got the best beachfront penthouse, overlooking the pool and beach area. The penthouse came with everything! Full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, Wifi, cable TV, and a spacious verandah to kick back and have a cold Belikin beer! My daughter truly enjoyed her birthday vacation and celebration, thanks to the warmth and hospitality of their amazing staff. I just had to go back again! My company was celebrating our tenth anniversary, and we wanted somewhere to celebrate as a team. Immediately, I recommended Umaya reminisce about my experience there, so I contacted Ryan. He was able to deliver wonderfully again. He helped us curate the perfect three day package, inclusive of on-site conference room rental, full meals, and three beachfront penthouses for my team to stay in. Our company retreat was nothing short of fantastic! The conference room was perfect for our small team to work in; they all enjoyed the food and of course, the poolside drinks made by Dennis were so exotic and refreshing! He had the best jokes and a jovial personality too! So if you're thinking of a place to have a staff retreat or meeting, this resort has two conference room spaces available :-) Whenever I visit Placencia, Umaya Resort & Adventures is my first option to stay now, not only for its undeniable beauty and amenities but also for the staff who work hard to ensure that my stay is unforgetable.

My wife and I stayed at Umaya for our Anniversary celebration. We immediatley fell inlove with the place. So much so that we returned with the entire family. Umaya has an Amazing ambience, and very friendly staff. Definitely highly recommend them. And the amazing job they are doing. Thank to my buddy Ryan for hooking us up ??. We greatly appreciate you.

Our planning first started with the communication between the staff and myself, specifically Steve and Ryan, they were welcoming and professional during the entire booking process. They were attentive to our needs and concerns. When we arrived on our schedule date, it was everything more than expected. Steve and Kimberly greeted us and had us settled in. The entire weekend was amazing from the room accommodation, the amazing and breathtaking views, the food and the service from the staff was right on point. Amazing stay at UMAYA resort. Alton did a terrific job organizing excursions for us, and we were thrilled that the restaurant prepared our fresh caught fish so deliciously. We had a group of 13, and the staff was able to accommodate us at the restaurant and for excursions. Beautiful sunset views at the restaurant! Stunning pool and outstanding refreshments!

We are here now - enjoying our second week. The service is great, and the staff is friendly, inviting, and helpful. The restaurant has great food. The resort is about a 15 minute drive from Placentia, but it is quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. Not a new resort, but it is very clean.
