This is our third trip to Bermuda, but our first stay at the Reefs. There is no doubt we'll be returning! From the moment you arrive you're met by the most welcoming staff. The rum swizzle at reception is delicious and front desk staff members are more than happy to make reservations, orient you to the property and by the time that you're checked in, your bags have already arrived at your room. We stayed at a room overlooking the pool and enjoyed beautiful sunrises on the deck. The room is spacious and comfortable. We loved the restaurants, the beach, pool and hot tub and want to especially thank Roydell and Antoinat for greeting us and our friends each day like old friends. We could not have asked for a nicer stay. and we can't wait to visit again!

Family run facility-The Reefs- was a rewarding anniversary(49th)trip that provided fond memories even through Hurricane Humberto! Food, room and beach accommodations were superb during our week stay. Would recommend highly. Ted Haas Lewes,DE

Recently visited the Reefs for a family vacation. I always stay at Elbow Beach but have heard that that has really gone down hill so booked here to try. The property has a lot to offer, but falls down in the few key areas. PROS: the staff are all lovely. Definitely not trained to luxury resort standards, but their approach and willingness to help with just about anything makes up for that. 2nd: the beach is stunning. Private and very swimmable. Never too crowded. Restaurants are limited, but all meals we had were very good. Had the best Bermuda snapper I’ve ever had at Coconuts for dinner one night! CONS:the rooms literally look like they’ve done a very superficial refresh to a Motel 6. At least in the room we stayed in, that is not at all in exaggeration. They basically put in some inexpensive modern tile and vanities in the bathroom and painted over exposed stucco walls with beige paint. Better decor could have made up for how tiny the room was, but this was a definite miss and surprising for the cost. THE WORST PART: There are units on the property that are owned and their space is off-limits to other guests. Obviously common but, bc there was absolutely no mention of this upon check-in, nor is there any visible signage - it led to an incredibly disappointing experience that apparently some other reviewers also had. (You would think management would have figured this out by now). Essentially, we went up stairs that we saw people accessing from the beach to find the infinity pool that is advertised throughout the website and materials. We found it at the top of the stairs and there was a friendly bartender who we recognized from a few days earlier working the bar. We ordered drinks and I asked to use the house phone to change a dinner reservation we had that night. The rude manager I spoke to on the phone, Andrea, asked me how I was calling from the Clubhouse phone and rudely snapped that I was not supposed to be there and had to leave. I literally had no idea what she was talking about until I hung up and the lovely bartender explained to me that it was a restricted area. I was obviously mortified and embarrassed for my family (who I had to pull out of the pool) and asked to pay for our drinks so we could head back down (oh, yes, we had to go back down the steep stairs I just made my mother with knee replacements climb up bc they wouldn’t let us access the hallway to the elevators). All would’ve been fine if Andrea hadn’t called back the bartender and kept him on the phone for more than five minutes schooling him on the rules, saying we shouldn’t be there - as we stood right there just wanting to pay our tab and leave, with more guests now catching on to what was going on. She would. Not. Stop. I felt so bad for the bartender who was just trying to give us a graceful exit. We paid thousands to stay a few days at your resort. Get it together, Andrea. I’ll keep looking for my Elbow Beach replacement.

Let me start by saying that I researched all the possible hotels and locations on the island before deciding on the Reefs for our first time in Bermuda. After numerous calls to try to get a cliffside room, as they were unavailable; the staff was extremely helpful in securing a cliffside room for us. Unfortunately after organizing all the details for the trip, we had a death in the family and had to postpone our trip. The Reef’s staff was completely understanding, helpful and compassionate in assisting us in changing the dates as well as the logistics for the trip. THEY TREATED US LIKE WE WERE FAMILY. The location, service, food, cleanliness and all around atmosphere are FIVE STAR all the way. I have friends here in Northern New Jersey that own a five-star restaurant and the other a family owned five star hotel and restaurant. From speaking with them over the years, I have become aware of the nuances and attention to detail required to properly treat people AKA the things only insiders notice. By that standard as well, I CAN ADD FIVE MORE STARS! Mr. Dodwell you run a class operation all the way. We will be back!

We had to reschedule because of the hurricane. The front desk and reservations team always answered my calls and emails. Very helpful. Above and beyond from the front desk staff. Wanted to make sure they get recognition as not all hotels are able to provide this prior to a trip.
