The W hotel has a brand, and it is one of the reasons we like to stay @ Ws. However, the Fort Lauderdale one was very disappointing. The checking process was fine and when we got to the room, the room was dirty. The carpet was not vacuumed and it had a finger nail on it. We called housekeeping and the supervisor can in and couldn’t believe it. They cleaned the room all over again. I did not expect that from the W and as a Marriott platinum it was really disappointing.

My husband an I booked this hotel last minute for one night to celebrate the 4th of July fireworks on the beach. I knew rates were going to be high, but the W was fair and decided to go with it. Although, it was busy at the check in area, a lovely man(Raul) acknowledged us with a welcoming smile. I’ve been to numerous upscale hotels and can’t remember this happening. Check in was smooth and quick with extra perks added to the low resort fee of $40. We requested a room facing the fireworks since we planned on watching it from our balcony. This request was grated with a smile. Our room was on the 14th (I believe 1410) floor facing the south with a small curve balcony. This didn’t bother us since we were staying for one night. The fireworks were spectacular along with a pleasant surprise of numerous fireworks along the west city skyline. Room: Very comfortable bed that it was very hard to get out of the next day. Also, Raul extended our check out for two hours without us asking when we checked. Wow! We didn’t expect this and took advantage of it. A nice perk for the 4th of July stay. Pool: Main pool was very crowded with loud music. It was 4th of July of course, but we were told about another pool on the second building that was quieter and less crowded. Met Jillian(bartender) served us amazing drinks while we lounged on the chairs and enjoyed the pool. Restaurants: El Vez and Steak 954- Excellent Service and Food. We stopped at the Sushi Bar for a mini bite and the service was excellent and the sushi was fresh and delicious. Next day we decided to have drinks at the W-Bar after check out and was happy to see Jillian again. We had such a nice time that we decided to have Sushi again while watching the ladies tennis match at Wimbledon(Coco) at the bar’s TV. We were having sushi a nice time that we were contemplating staying another night. Check-out: A little issue with our bill but Antonio corrected it without any questions or hesitation. He was very professional. Overall, we will be staying here again. The staff from the start of our arrival to check out was outstanding and displayed excellent service. It’s a beautiful hotel with many areas to sit and watch the beach or the intercostal. Thank you W Hotel for making my 4th of July stay memorable. I’ll be see you again and definitely on July 4th, 2020

Just walked into our room at 3:30pm and it has totally not been cleaned. I feel so gross right now and this is supposed to be the “W”. ?????? WTF!!! We called management. Hopefully this can be rectified and salvage our staycation

Please was clean and rooms were ok. Needs some updates. Staff was helpful when needed. I would make sure to get a room up as high as you can. Had dinner at Steak 954 and was great. Highly recommended.

W Ft Lauderdale is expensive but plush in prime season. They have a very good staff, large comfortable rooms., and its not snowbird season. I got a $25. day pass, which comes with free parking, beach & facility & restaurant. WET Deck is also included, thats a lounge chair at the roof top, with towel, pool, DJ, bar (pay for drinks).
