Most relaxing getaway

*Just returned from a 10 night stay at the Sheraton. 2nd time staying here (this time in a newly renovated room) and we had an incredible time. Arrived in Oahu earlier than expected and was able to check in at noon. Corrine at the front desk was so helpful booking resort activities for us and getting us additional bags of eggs for the sold out Easter egg hunt event. The room assigned to us is a higher floor, OCEAN FRONT room on the 24th floor. If you are able, book the ocean front! Non obstructed ocean view!!! We kept the balcony door open all night to listen to the ocean waves. There's a lounge and side chair with table in the balcony. Yes, the room with 2 double beds is small for a family of 4 but we knew that from reading the website room descriptions. However, the room was clean. Smaller bathroom vanity with a separate makeup area, toilet with washlet, and hand shower with very good water pressure. Staff was professional and explained the new regulations. Everyone wore masks. We didn't request maid service but our room got cleaned 3x during our stay. Noise from neighbors and outside was minimal. Only had 1 night where our next door neighbor played loud music and partied until midnight. They only stayed 1 night. 2 refillable canteens in your room for water. Mini frig, safe but no microwave in room. Great sunset views from hotel beach. TIPS: 1) Parking: we were able to find free street parking along Ala Wai Canal for 11 days so try there first before you decide to pay for garage parking $35 2) Pool: You can make a reservation a day prior. Even if you forget, there's plenty of chairs available. And you don't need to reserve a chair to use the pool. Chairs are sprayed and sanitized in between reserved time slots 3) Make reservations online ASAP for the resort activities. They fill up fast! *See pictures for times 4) restaurants: We didn't eat at the Sheraton so can't comment. No more happy hour at Rumfire :( There are so many restaurants within walking distance to the hotel - Royal Hawaiian has plenty of restaurants (Tsurutontan udon has happy hour prices all day and great lunch specials, Marugame is a 10 min walk, musubi Iyasume is a 5 min walk, etc.) STAY here! It's at the end of the strip. Close to everything yet away from the noisy streets. We had a hard time leaving :( Can't wait to return soon.
Keeps getting better!

We had our wedding reception here 20 years ago. We've been back a handful of times & it keeps getting better. This was our first trip with our kids. Had a great renovated room & awesome views. Due to COVID-19, there were limited dining options, but we made it work. Also, we rented a cabana for a day - well worth it, as otherwise kids only get 2 hour block in pool due to COVID-19 restrictions. Can't imagine staying anywhere else.
Lizards, stained carpets and broken sliding doors

Stayed twice in February and April for business and vacation this year. I am a marriott titanium and hilton diamond so I expect certain level of service based on many properties I have visited over the years. Services and amenities at this property is very poor to say the least. Everything seem so darn difficult here. You literally have to beg for anything that other properties you normally receive as an elite guest. A simple request as a late checkout is answered with "ask us on the day of departure!" February trip included rooms with broken sliding doors that forced me to move rooms twice. This week, a room with stained carpet and lizard crawling on the wall forced to move in the middle of the night. So watch out for those little creatures that might crawl under your bed. Although they are rare they seem to find their way into guest rooms. Total mystery how management is running the property. Front desk staff service is all hit and miss, some are helpful but others are totally useless and makes loyal guests literally pissed off. They seem to only care about maximizing revenue from tourists than anything else. Granted this is a resort in Hawaii after all and you will hear lame excuses like we are just busy and rooms are all sold out... Really? But those who have choices and expect loyalties won't be returning.
Perfect Pandemic Getaway

We were so ready to get out of town and when we finished getting vaccinated we picked Oahu as our first long distance visit. The Sheraton Waikiki is a perfect place to stay if you are going to be near Waikiki Beach. View from room on 25th floor attached. King Oceanfront Room with Diamond Head view (thanks Bonvoy Gold for the upgrade). Only one restaurant open (Rum Fire) which is poolside. Excellent fish tacos with a great view, who can argue with that? Infinity pool was a little cold but incredible to just hang out at the edge and watch the gentle waves roll in, even a couple of turtles swam by. Don’t have little kids anymore but Waikiki Beach is literally two minute walk to the left with a perfect beach for all ages. Good to see that some of the things are coming back, even if limited. COVID precautions were respected, keep that QR code handy at least until you get to your room. Thanks for a great Spring Break!
Our Favorite Hotel

My wife's favorite thing in life is staying at nice hotels! Her soul is filled with joy and she is sooo happy when we check in! She loves to experience as many different hotels as we possibly can. This year for her birthday, we decided to do a 3 day weekend Stay-cation in Waikiki (we live just down the road). I thought we were gonna stay at one of two new hotels she was talking about earlier, but I wasn't surprised to find out when our Lyft ride was headed back to Sheraton Waikiki again. We've been here several times. We love the Sheraton Waikiki because of their gorgeous views, central location, Rum Fire restaurant/night club, and our favorite, their infinity pool! Unfortunately, there was an incident at the beginning of our stay. As unsavory as it was, the staff was exceptional in their response. Garrett Wong, the supervisor on duty worked quickly to rectify the situation. Ana at the pool went above and beyond. We recieved prompt medical attention at the Straub medical facility on site. None was more attentive and gracious than than Kalasa with security when he checked up on us after we were settled again in our new room. We even got a personal phone call from Hotel manager Jason Kim on Monday, my wife's birthday, with birthday wishes more sincere apologies. When it was all said and done, we left refreshed and relaxed as we always do. The Sheraton Waikiki is STILL our most favorite hotel, and not just because of its beauty, but because their service is incomparable. There's a famous quote that epitomizes our most recent stay here, "When something bad happens you have three choices. You can either let it define you, let it destroy you, or you can let it strengthen you."
