Beautiful hotel, clean, and excellent hospitality

The Waikiki Marriott spa and resort is a fantastic property! This property is very clean and offers exceptional customer service. It has some of the most friendly and helpful staff of any hotel I have visited (and I travel weekly for business). Long time employee, Georgette, at the Kuhio beach grill (located in the hotel) greets guests with her Aloha spirit and a smile at breakfast; she is a true gem! The front desk has always been helpful, friendly and professional. I had the pleasure of meeting a manager named Cohco and a front desk supervisor named Lloyd who were fantastic and very welcoming! I also had the pleasure of meeting hotel manger, Chi, who was friendly and professional. It is evident after meeting him why this hotel is run so well! The employees have a true passion for hospitality. The rooms are nice, updated and well appointed. Many have great ocean views! Most importantly, they are very clean! Helen in housekeeping is always smiling and does an amazing job keeping the room looking perfect! We have met her on previous stays and always look forward to seeing her. The hotel is also in a great location and you can walk to tons of shops and restaurants. Mahalo to everyone at this great property. We will definitely continue to come back!
Perfect location!

Perfect location, right across the street from Waikiki beach! Resort is in the midst of all the shops and restaurants! Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable! It is a little farther down on ‘the strip’ so it is quieter. Having said that, if u r in a room facing the Twin Fin, you will hear the music from the Tiki Bar til at least 11 pm. The sliding patio doors at hotel are very thin, so you are able to hear traffic and all the noise. There is a Starbucks in hotel which is a plus, and restaurant food was delicious. There are also plenty of chairs to check out for guests no matter the time of day!
Amazing place

We stayed here for a few nights while island hopping. It's a great location with great food and family pools as well as an adult area. The room was comfortable but the bed was a bit old with no boxspring so that wasn't the best. The have a game room for adults only where you can play pool, shuffleboard and air hockey if the weather isn't the best. It's also walkable to great restaurants and shopping. We had a great time staying here.
Expensive

This place passes their employee expenses on to you in the form of "Automatic Tips" I should be able to tip my own amount not what they think to support their wages. TIPs should be optional not automatic, i will decide what my tip should be, not an automatic percentage (20%!!!)
Great location and make sure to enjoy activities on property

We enjoyed an 8 night stay and with Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador status we received an ocean view upgrade on a higher floor. There is also a special area (not at the front desk) for Ambassador's to check in. They also provided a welcome gift with Hawaiian cookies. The breakfast amenity was great as well, you just have to pay for tip (which the staff at the buffet are all great and very attentive). There is an option to upgrade but we found that the omelet station, with fruit and pastries was sufficient. As a couple who lives and works out of hotels we also enjoyed the activities on property. Each morning at 8am they have yoga classes, plus some other exercise classes throughout the week. The location changes based on weather but it was enough enough to find. Plus there are some painting classes that you have to register for in advance that were fun. (this is all included in your resort fee). Plus the access to beach chairs was great as the beach is across the street. Overall it's a decent option with great access to the beach. As an Ambassador there are higher end Marriot properties on island but if you're looking for something low key and a little less pricey this is a good option. Manage your expectations and you will enjoy your stay.
