Good stay

Stayed in old las vegas which is nostalgic. Only a block walk to vegas strip. Hotel was clean. Bed comfortable. No coffee in room. Which may be due to covid. Staff very nice and helpful. Enjoyed mob museum which is just across the street. Not super fancy like new vegas hotels but for the price difference worth the stay only a short drive to new strip. Have their own parking garage which you don't have to pay for. Overall good quiet reasonable hotel.
Elvis Wedding of Dreams

I had Elvis walk me down aisle as stand-in for my dad who passed few years ago! I was SO excited this was even an option! It was even better than I imagined! They made our special day even more memorable!
Beware of Booking on a 3rd Party Site
Reviewed by jht1414(Los Angeles, California) on Apr 04, 2021
After several trips staying on the Strip, I was really excited to stay on Fremont. However, the D treated me like a second-class citizen for booking via a 3rd party. I booked a King bedroom via Hotwire, but the hotel gave me a double queen room. When I called to say there had been a mistake, I was told the hotel "doesn't guarantee room type for 3rd party reservations." They continued to say that the hotel was "fully committed," so they couldn't switch me. If that's the case, there should have been some kind of a comp, whether a resort credit or a discounted room rate, but none was offered. I was later encouraged to "book direct next time." Fat chance. I shouldn't have to explain how poor that is as customer service. The onus should not be on the guest. The hotel should not book rooms they don't have - and if they do, they should absolutely make up for it in some way. The room I received was mid-sized but dated. The TV was small and the furniture in the room was scuffed. The bed was fine, but the pillows were truly uncomfortable. The room had a door that connected it to another room, separated by a deadbolt (which was rented to another guest.) Unfortunately, this made for bad sound-proofing in the room next door. The only thing that seemed updated was the bathroom - which admittedly looked great. However, the rest looked like they had basically left it as-is since from the hotel's days as Fitzgerald's. Other Misc. Things -The unusual elevator system can create a logjam during check-in/check-out times because a physical operator punches the floor number for each guest. -The coffee shop in the lobby has no firm hours. Given that there are no in-room coffee makers, this was incredibly inconvenient. I was told to "just go to McDonalds" -where I waited in a 20 minute line to get a cup of coffee. -I won quite a bit in the casino, but even then, I still don't have warm fuzzy feelings about this place. If I had a room comped, I would stay here again and give it another shot. But I absolutely did not appreciate the service I received here.
"D" Stands For DIRTY
Reviewed by Barbrusso() on Mar 25, 2021
My husband and I have been coming here for years....BUT THINGS HAVE SLOWLY GOTTEN WORSE.....Each year we have noticed negative things happening....From cleanness, restaurants to noise.....Our rooms are getting dirtier each visit. We're talking bathroom not cleaned from prior guests to finding food under tables...GROSS. The noise from Freemont Street has gotten worse as well.....The noise was so loud we could not sleep. Employees are awesome...We've decided not to return....Going to give The Plaza a try next time.
D stands for One and Done. It's so LOUD.

Our party had two comped rooms for several nights. We would not return again...even for free stays. Staff are kind and pleasant and the rooms were updated and had comfortable beds. Outside of those two positives...it was really difficult for us to find favor. The casino is extremely smokey and unnecessarily loud - so loud it's difficult to have conversation with friends. It isn't an enjoyable element of high energy, happiness, and activity...it's seedy with some really upset, angry, intoxicated people. The casino is also unreasonably HOT for some reason. We were so uncomfortable we stopped spending time here and gambled elsewhere. Our rooms were on opposite sides of the hotel and everyone in our party complained that LOUD music from Fremont kept them from sleeping. We love to have fun, gamble, and let loose a bit...but, expect a reasonable level of sleep quality and an environment conducive to quality sleep - that's what rooms are for. We didn't find it here. The noise from the street experience vibrates inside the rooms. Our rooms had strong cigarette smoke smell and at times MJ. Noise in hallways and normal conversation from neighboring rooms could be heard. The cafe was closed down leaving either expensive/high end steak house or fast food as the only options. We enjoy sitting down to good cafe food (not fast food) so spent our dollars and meals elsewhere with such limited options. Our group discussed leaving early and getting a hotel elsewhere just to get some sleep. We wouldn't return.
