    Non stop problems

Do not stay at this hotel. It’s been nonstop problems each of the three days I was there. I had reserved 7 nights, but left after 3. No huge problems, just lots of small things that ruin the experience. The Keys didn’t work on check in. Getting the high-speed internet access took three calls and almost an hour. I spent 30 minutes making a reservation for breakfast and then was turned away. I called costumer service to get the Westin Gear lending service. They sent me to reception and collect it where I was told they weren’t offering that service. I had to wait 30 minutes for the lights at the tennis court to be turned on. We played two nights and saw the same dirty garbage can that was full of water and trash, which is a huge health issue in a region where mosquito borne diseases like dengue are common. I asked for the minibar to be restocked, which for some reason they only do if I’m in the room. After an hour wasted of my holiday, I left because they never showed up. So far I’ve had 4 a la Cart meals and two of the dishes we ordered were completely different than what’s stated in the menu. The AC is so loud it wakes you up at night. When I went to Yovan Vargas, the only manager on site, his way of fixing this was to give me and my wife (not my two teenagers) access to breakfast at Faisanela. When I asked for options because I didn’t want to stay at the hotel. His solution was to move me to the W and charge me an additional $200 per night. It was insulting. I had to leave

Amazing destination to visit at playa Conchal with quality service, poolside food and cocktails. Great amenities and local activities to explore, for example Erik G. (In blue shirt ??) at the beach just past the pool. He was able to recommend many activities to enjoy the sun: horseback riding, atv, jet skis, many more. What an amazing stay at the Westin. Will be back for more vacationing!

We have been thrilled to be welcomed by such gracious staff. The rooms are spacious and very clean. All of us have enjoyed the food, and my son really appreciates being able to get food all day long. Also, we met a local, Eric G (with a blue shirt), outside the hotel. He helped us with jet skis, horseback riding, and a turtle visit that we would have never found without him. Please find him for great tips. Our stay at the Westin has been fantastic and highly recommend.

The Westin Reserva Conchal is such a great place to visit. More than just a nice hotel, it has THE BEST PEOPLE serving your every need! These people care about each and every person with attention to every detail. If you like being pampered beyond your wildest dreams while hangin out at a spectacular resort, then go here! We had my daughters wedding here (on the beach) and it couldn't have gone more smoothly. In spite of what the media reports about Costa Rica being dangerous, I would say it's more peaceful than the US. The people of Costa Rica and especially the folks working at this Westin are genuine, kind and beautiful! I have made many friends over the last few years at the Westin and in Costa Rica and will continue to go mostly because of them. The staff did a great job with regards to Covid-19 and cleanliness. Each and every restaurant followed the guidelines to a tee and made everyone wash their hands and wear masks at the appropriate times. If you are looking to just lay out by the pool and catch some rays while being served anything you prefer, then this is your place. If you just want to go to the beach and get a massage, then this is your place. If you want to enjoy golf, horseback riding, jet skiing, paddle boarding, tennis, pickle ball and much more, then this is your place. It has one of the most beautiful beaches around Costa Rica and the hotel and surrounding grounds are awesome! You'll get to see LOTS of Iguanas, monkeys, coatis, and hundreds of different birds. Don't worry, they stay clear of humans for the most part. Stay at Royal Beach if you want quiet privacy without lots of kids running around. But if you have little ones, they have that too!

The resort itself is great. Highly recommend upgrading to the beach club for adults only. Much more quiet. The drinks are weak but good. Every single staff member is genuinely kind and remembers your name. The resort is beautiful with logs of couti and iguanas! For dinner, my favorite place was Spirula. Everywhere else was okay/pretty good. All the food is clean and you feel healthy, which they prioritize lol. Also I love the pool’s chicken fingers and fries. If you want some activities, hit the beach and look for Eric. He’ll probably find you first! Nice guy with lots of connections at reasonable rates, such as jet skies and riding horses! I was scared to ride the horses, but it was so much fun! You can also get cheap massages at the beach. My fave gal is Sofia (at the main entrance of the beach, she’s on the left).
