Hotel Perfection. From the front lobby to the Hyatt Beach it’s a walk in paradise. Nothing spared to make a guest’s stay the favorite of all hotel stays. The grounds, the service, the pools, the food, the beach, the amenities, the rooms..... perfection!

$1,400 after tax and resort fee per night in a King Ocean view room. The room was the same quality as a standard Holliday Inn, not even as nice as a Hampton Inn. Complete waste of money. We cut our stay there short and were able to get a giant ocean front suite at the Princeville Resort on the north end for $1100 per night. The Hyatt manager was kind enough to refund my deposit and allow us to cut our stay short. The Hyatt pools were great, we did enjoy one day there at the pools. The Hyatt was very crowded with a conference, the pools had lots of kids. The Hyatt is great for traveling with kids, not great for couples. We found the north end of Kauai to be more our style, the best beaches and snorkeling areas are on the north end as well as all the beautiful mountains and green vegetation. On the north end we could walk for miles on beautiful white sand beaches and not see another soul. The south end was a bustling city with uninspiring landscapes, packed beaches, and a higher percentage of homeless people. The south end of Kauai seemed identical to southern California to us.

This was our second time at this resort, and it is just as beautiful as it was 3 years ago. The grounds, the pools, beach area all are lovely. Check in was seamless, and luggage was stored and then delivered to our room when it became ready. We are World is Hyatt members, and Platinum American Express so I was disappointed we didn’t get our usual upgrade, and even more disappointed to find our room was in the ground level. I requested a change, but was informed nothing was available. The safe didn’t work, and the sliding door to the yard had 3/4 screws loose. Maintenance took care of both issues, and I just accepted the ground floor room. It was nice I just never want ground floor. See separate reviews on Tidepools and the Anara Spa. Both spectacular. We ate at Tidepools twice. We rented Deluxe Oceanfront Cabanas 3 days and loved the lunches that were served, the amenities, the shade and the views. Their scheduling was a bit of screw up on several fronts, but they made it right. Wonderful hotel which we love, but a bit of room for improvement in some areas. Will definitely be back tp this resort.

It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it! It’s isolated, but it’s worth it! The Grand Hyatt on the island of Kauai is large (50 acres), serene and very, very well maintained. The staff are attentive, the facilities first-rate, and the food delicious. The view are incredible.

    Excellent service and amenities

Staff friendly and helpful. Facility is beauriful. Pleasantly surprised that Peleton bicycles were available in the gym! The spa experience was lovely. Felt very pampered. Rooms were comfortable with refrigerator. Would have been nice to have had a microwave available. Nespresso maker was a treat!
