    Beautiful place, beware extra fees

Gardens are beautiful and inside so comfortably climate controlled. We were overlooking the river with the boat ride around Delta Island. Bed comfortable, ac quiet. Had a great night's sleep! Beware extra fees! Self parking $32 per night in an empty parking lot. Also, hours after check-in they charged an extra $20 to our credit card for a resort fee. This was not even mentioned at check in. Is this even legal? Very disappointing and misleading. What do you even get for that? Dinner options were spare. The only places open were the very expensive steak house and the Jack Daniel restaurant. JD was excellent! But very hard to find. That needs better signage. Also, we are Marriott Gold. No breakfast was included. Would I stay there again? Yes, but maybe in 10 or 20 years only for a very special occasion.

We were fortunate to get a parlor suite at the Opryland Hotel and it was incredible! Our bedroom was clean and comfortable. We had an adjoining parlor room that overlooked one of the three atriums. The parlor room had a 4 person table, 2 wing chairs, an additional bathroom, a fireplace, a murphy bed, and a wet bar area. It was top notch. The staff brought us extra coffee and water bottles for the coffee machine! That was unexpected and very nice of them. The one complaint I have is that the pillows were super soft. In retrospect, we should have called the front desk and asked for firmer pillows, but we didn't think about this until we were getting ready to leave. Our restaurant servers were friendly and efficient. We ate at the Fuse Sports Bar the first night, and the Cobb Salad was incredible! It was a large portion and tasted great! We also ate at the Cascades American Cafe. Their Cobb Salad was much smaller, but still tasty. I recommend heading over to Fuse if you want a Cobb salad. My husband was on a work trip, and they had a business dinner at the Old Hickory Steakhouse. He said it was very good as well. We really enjoyed walking the hotel in the evenings. There is a lot to see in this beautiful resort.

Has been a few years since I had the pleasure to stay here. It is one of the nicest hotels on the planet. Rooms are nice, beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. You can get your exercise because this place is huge inside and there are lots of things to do. Everyone should make a visit to see the inside of this place. Huge gardens, a boat ride and live entertainment. We ate at the pizza place last night and the $20 pizza is big enough to feed 4 people well.

We visit here often and so for my birthday wanted to come here. Great to see things opening up more. The Fall’s bar is always great. The entertainment can be uncertain as they had the best entertainer playing outside in the February cold and no signage showing it. A nice thing to add would be a way to pay right at the tables in the Falls Bar. Sometimes, tables, being limited, get shared and with minimal staffing, makes paying more challenging.

First time visiting Nashville and am very happy we picked the famous Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. We found the hotel very amazing although there is a lot of walking to view it all. It is a beautiful place with the Atrium, food & beverage and amenities. We received outstanding service during our stay. We were having an important package shipped via Fed-ex to the hotel which sounds simple, but due to some issues with the Fed-ex business Center on-site, our package was unable to be dropped off. With only having a short time to attend a couple of shows before heading out of the country, we spoke with the front desk manager, Luke, and with his help and that of his manager, they were able to arrange picking up our package at the fed-ex facility in the evening and have it ready for us to pickup at the desk when we returned from our show. They were absolute lifesavers as we wouldn’t have been able to retrieve our package before leaving Nashville. A big thank you.
