We have traveled all over the world, and stayed everywhere from five-star hotels to beach huts- and never expected that a hotel in NY would have such exemplary customer service, the equal of the best we have ever experienced. My wife, although she is pregnant, had to fly to NY from the west coast on the red-eye. She arrived at the Redbury exhausted and hoping against hope that there might just be a room available for her to rest and recover before the day began. Shelley, who manages the hotel overnight, couldn't have been more kind or caring, and took great care of her, making sure she was comfortable and able to face the day. She was equally kind to me when I arrived a few hours later, and each time we came back, remembering our names and making sure we had everything we needed. The hotel itself is quite nice, well-restored, quaint and comfortable, and well-located- but we will come back for Shelley and her outstanding colleagues more than any other reason.

The hotel is very charming and has this New York City vibe. Location is fantastic. We’ve got a room upgrade upon check in, king size suit is spacious and very well decorated. Bed is super comfortable. I was in between The Redbury and Citizen M hotel in Bowery as the room rate is similar. I sow CitizenM in reality and did not regret my choice for a second. Great breakfast and dining places around (in addition to indeed very very good Marta at the hotel, which was busy 7 days per week, always looked fully booked). World best jazz clubs within very short walking distance, Jazz Standard and others also. Overall the hotel itself and the area are so retro classy, I enjoyed every minute there. If there is a one thing that can be improved is availability of bathrobes without the need to ask for it and probably more towels. These were the minor issues that did not affect our impression anyway. Don’t expect “luxury” but elegance, style and Midtown atmosphere at its best.

We stayed here on our baby moon, the location was perfect for everything we wanted to do, close to everything but not too busy. The room was clean and a good size. My only complain is when we checked in, the A/C wasn't working (and being pregnant a girl needs AC!), they took a very long time to come help us with it, then when we asked if we could just have another room, they seemed annoyed, and eventually gave us a new room with working AC, but it also took a long time and after a traveling day, i was really hoping to rest. Once we were settled everything else was good. the restaurant connected below is really really good!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a few nights while on vacation. The hotel's location was excellent - walking distance to some of the best restaurants and bars, with access to subway lines going both north and south in Manhattan. The staff were incredible as well, and extremely attentive - both at night, and during the day. Special shout out to Raphael and Sam for their amazing service! The rooms were spacious with plenty of amenities, and the decor was very 'regal' (that's the best way to explain it). Bathroom was a bit small, and the AC was loud (meaning we had to turn it off while sleeping (not my choice obviously)). It would've also been nice to have more towels at our disposal in the bathroom itself, so perhaps placing additional towels under the sink would've been a nice way to improve the room. Otherwise, I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. Would we stay here again? 100%, unequivocally yes.

Not a boutique hotel at all. Great restaurant in the lobby but that is about all. The photos do look fantastic on their website. Do not be deceived. It is nothing like it looks. Had to move out of my first room because there is MAJOR construction going on across the street on 29th so make sure you DO NOT GET a room on 29th. The blow horn goes off at 7am and loud construction continues throughout the day. It blows my mind that they would even consider putting anyone in the front of their hotel. Not sure what they are thinking. The second night they did move my room to an internal one. The outside of my windows in both my rooms were FILTHY dirty. They need to spend some money on a window cleaner and lastly the AC units are SUPER loud. Feel like a 747 is landing in your room. Would not stay here again for sure. So many other options in NYC for sure.
