Wonderful vacation in Jamaica

Shannon G (Halifax, Canada) on Apr 20, 2024

We arrived the morning of April 7th. Check in was smooth and we had to wait until 3:00 for our room which we expected. While waiting we enjoyed our time having drinks and exploring. Our room was in building 17, top floor, corner room. It was a renovated room and very nice. The patio door didn’t close properly when we first got there but a call to reception and they were there quickly to fix it. The bar fridge was stocked every day and we left a tip each day to get more beer and water. The housekeeping staff was also great and quick to clean our rooms every day. The beds were comfy :) We spent most days at the kids park which our 9 yr old daughter loved. Garth and Leon at the bar there were amazing and treated us very well. The lifeguards were all great! We spent some time at the beaches. Snorkelling is best by wedding gazebo. There are bathrooms and a beach bar on the other beach past the kids park. We are at buffets most day which were great, something for everyone. The Knife was ok and Dolce Vita was good :). We enjoyed the snack place by the pool during the day, chicken, burgers, fries etc… Don’t buy souvenirs at the lobby shops. Go to the village behind the waterpark (top floor). Tons of shops with much lower prices. Being straws and insulated cup. Towel clips as it was quite windy every day. It is HOT there. Been to DR and Cuba before but Jamaica was the hottest. All the staff we encountered were amazing! always friendly and always said hello. We all agreed that they made the trip, we had a great time chatting and hanging out with the staff at the kids park during the day. We will be back someday for sure!

Incredible Hotel with some rude staff

lorjtravel (London, United Kingdom) on Apr 20, 2024

This is the biggest Hotel in Jamaica with 5 stars. It is Spanish owned has the fiinest bars and restaurants. It has 11 restaurants but I didn't get to go to all of them as I needed more days there. I got upgraded to a better room but I didn't like the bathroom design, it was not screened off, from the doorway only the shower an the toilet so if anyone opened the door you would be exposed. The fridge only had 2 beers and 2 cokes and a bottle of wine and water considering it was an All inclusive, no snacks either. The 2 breakfast restaurants were outstanding. The pools were crowded because a lot of people came over from the Luxury side of the resort. This hotel had over 1300 rooms it was huge but the only downfall for me was it never felt like you was in Jamaica. It felt like we was in Spain. Some staff were rude to us, all they wanted was a tip. I'm black and I give tips!!!!! I waited at the bar and the staff would serve the white people first. I've travelled all over the world but have never experienced this yet. Come on fellow Jamaicans please do better and be professional. The hotel was fabulous but had no Vibe and character I felt like I was in a posh jail. I visited other 5 star Hotels in Jamaica the staff were not like this. So they just need better customer service training to be polite.

We loved it and would go back a 3rd time.

We had an absolute great time. Huge Improvements from the last time we were at this resort. Walking time was cut in half at the very minimum. It is a huge resort but they make it fairly easy to explore now. Rooms are a nice size but beds are a little too small and our room was a bit outdated. However if you request your room in building 18 these rooms are nicely renovated. Overall food was good, Place was clean for the most part, Weather was excellent, Staff was good, food selection went over and above in my Opinion. Beach was beautiful but you have to walk a bit to get there. There are Vendors but your not pressured like it Used to be . In my opinion you don't need Privilege but it does give you access to Some Premium alcohol . Other than that there is no further advantage. I have to say We had an amazing time and ther are for too many features to talk about to Cover the whole Vacation. Even at the kids clubs, i found the girls there more trustworthy then what i see here locally sometimes. I would highly recomend Visiting as there is more then enough to please anyone at any age Very happy.

Good family getaway

191eugeniar (Montreal, Canada) on Apr 19, 2024

Great party place but avoid if you are looking for quiet relaxing. Lower quality than other BP resorts I’ve visited in the past years but still great. My little daughter loved the kids club and I definitely enjoyed the beach by the Privilege Club ??

Well Jamaica, you never fail to deliver, What an amazing holiday. The complex was amazing, the food was really good great selection and good quality well cooked, the a la carte restarants were really good,. the entertainment was superb, multiple different acts, starting at 7pm, then when they finish at 11pm you have the Karaoke and Disco going on till 2am. The daytime activities were great, foam parties, cocktail parties, beach parties and always something to do. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and thanks make making this an amazing holiday. See you again in 2025.
