We stayed in 198 Kenny Bvld on this complex . Having read other reviews on this resort I completely agree with what has already been said . For starters if you stay here get used to driving . Stuck in traffic jams both in the morning going to the parks and coming home from the parks . The obligatory 20 minutes from Disney might be accurate if you have access to a helicopter . At least an hour and half coming home every evening with traffic on the I4 at a constant standstill . The villa was nice , but lacked in certain areas . For example a party of 4 adults and 2 children there were only 10 coat hangers . ( when I asked for more I was directed to Walmart) No cushions in the lounge area and no cushions for a the sun loungers. Not enough seating space on the 2 small leather sofas for all of us . As mentioned in other reviews you will need to purchase toilet roll , bin bags etc . The beds were nice and all rooms have televisions with access to Netflix etc so that kept the kids happy . The plumbing had clearly been installed using the cheapest possible fittings. For example a fixed shower head which could not be adjusted therefore it took an absolute age to rinse the shampoo off . The pool area was nice with a nice view of one of the many water features around the resort including the odd siting of alligators which the kids loved. In general it was a nice villa but needed a few extra touches to make it all the more better !! The resort pool and slides were really nice with something for all ages . This was booked as a virgin holiday whereby the Balmoral Resort was marketed as a five star resort .. it definitely wasn’t !! I’ve stayed in a Virgin Villa in the Claremont area before and that is where I’ll be heading back to when we go back to Florida .

Ten day vacation to explore the area

The resort was beautiful. the area around the home was quiet. The exercise room was small. Equipment minimal. Pool area was great. The home was clean. Home furnishings were cheap. Beds and couches were uncomfortable. Be prepared to purchase garbage bags, toilet paper, soap, dish detrergent, laundry soap, etc. Publix was very close. Traffic heavy on rt. 27. 1.5 hours to the orlando resorts with traffic. Leave early. Traffic gets heavy south of Posner mall Champions Gate area. There are a few restaurants and fast food close by. Nothing special. More ammenities and mall about 10 miles away on rt27. Avoided route 17. Too depressing for us.

    Beautiful Resort - Questionable Practices

First off, let me just say that the resort itself is beautiful. We rented an incredible pool home, which felt very homey. We absolutely loved the house. If it was just about the house, then this would easily be a five-star location. The challenge I have with this property is the crazy intense check-in process. You have accept terms and conditions (ok, normal), then you have to e-sign the terms and conditions, THEN, each adult has to sign waivers when you check in. In my 45 years on this planet, I have never seen so much red tape at check-in. From there, you see signs with rules everywhere. All of the rules and red-tape really hinder this resort. They spare no effort in making sure they are protected at every single point... even threatening a HUGE fee if you check out a minute late. This place needs to take a chill pill and perhaps a drive to one of the Disney Resorts to learn about customer service. It's really too bad, because the place is beautiful.

Property was as expected. Was clean and well maintained. Clubhouse facilities even though the community appeared to be very quiet, was always manned and the facilities available as described. Staff in attendance were polite and helpful. We arranged for the pool to be heated but it took three days after our arrival to get to a temperature acceptable, despite being told on the day we arrived that the temperature would be 10 degrees above the ambient. This is a slight issue when you consider the charges for heating on a daily basis. The only major negative is the distance from the theme parks. Although not far in miles, due to traffic congestion we had several days where it took almost two hours to either get there or return to the villa. If you are using this accommodation for enjoying the parks, be prepared to spend a long time in the car.

Just returned from 0ne week vacation staying at Balmoral. Villa was fantastic, was massive for just the two of us. Very quiet with nice walks. Used main pool couple of times, sunbeds bit uncomfortable. Only main problem was distance from main attractions, although only 9 miles from i4 still always took 20-25 mins because of traffic, was nearly an hour to Disney springs one night.
