    Not Quite What We Expected

When we checked in, the gentleman was very friendly and helpful. We got to our room and everything was clean. However, we had a five day stay at the hotel, and after three days, we really needed for our trash to be emptied and our towels changed. However, we were told that due to covid, they only clean rooms once a week. We have never stayed in a hotel that does this. We really wish they had cleaned our room at least by the third day. We decided to check out a day early and eat the last day's stay. I hope I'm not overreacting, but a bit more service would have been appreciated. I asked for clean bath towels to be delivered to the room, and was told that security would bring them up. Of course they didn't do it. In addition, security was quick to reprimand me for not immediately putting my mask on as soon as I entered the lobby, but the housekeeping staff never took my trash. I even placed my trash in a bag and placed it outside my door to be picked up. I left for Universal Studios at 7 am, came back at 7:30 pm, and the trash was still where I left it. Although the check in was very pleasant, we found the lack of amenities and the lack of any sort of housekeeping to be a definite turn off.

The Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista is back.

After closing due to Covid, I was so happy to see that they are back. I have been coming here for years. In 2019, I stayed here 7 times. Just really an amazing value. COVID: From the moment I arrived, I felt very safe. Security took my temp. and gave me a color wrist band to wear to show I had my temp check. All employees in the lobby had masks and were socially distant. I can see they are taking all measures possible to make sure their guest and employees are safe! CHECK IN: As stated above, felt totally safe. I asked to upgrade to a king bed and they were able to accommodate me. ROOM: I was in room 4409. The room was spotless and smelled great. The remote control, coffee maker, and cups were all covered in plastic to let you know it has been sterilized. The sheets were sparkling white. And the A/C was so cold, I had to wake up in the night to turn the temp up. Beds were super comfy and pillows were great. Even before Covid, I always travel with Lysol to make sure I spray everything down. But, this room was so spotless, I almost felt like I did not have to do anything, POOL: The pools are open. I actually for the first time in years coming, used the pool. It was very relaxing. I will say to management, new pool furniture would totally transform that area. BAR/Restaurant: Both of these were closed. MiniMart/Gift shop: This was available and has all you need to snack in your room. NO Parking fees NO Wife Fee NO Resort Fee 15min from Disney Springs Next door from shopping with restaurants They did rebrand from the Clarion Inn to Rosen Inn….and I can tell right away. On my last day when I called to check out via the phone, they picked up the call and addressed me by my name. Something that has never happened when it was a Clarion. If you are looking for a mint on your bed each night like they do at the Four Seasons, then I would suggest you don’t stay here. But if you are looking for large comfortable rooms close to the Disney parks and at a great value price……Rosen Inn LBV is your place.

We are frequent this hotel formerly known as the Clarion Inn, a Rosen Inn Hotel, as it is very convenient to the areas we visit, and most of all we feel safe here. Sure it smelled, we seen roaches but you get what you pay for. It's very close to the Disney parks and most importantly, the urgent care. It's also affordable. However, there was that one time in August 2016 when we arrived to check in and we were told that they had no reservation for us. Feeling panicked and did not want to ruin our weekend, we accepted their offer to send us to a hotel at the sketchy end of International Drive. I never forgot that day. But unfortunately, the cheap price always kept us coming back. Until this weekend. We became victims of their bait and switch scheme.

I was so happy to see my favorite hotel near Disney re-opened and under a new name too. We have always had great vacations at Clarion Inn Lake Buena Vista and we’re sad when we saw hotel temporarily closed. The welcome back rate was too good to resist so decided to make a quick return to the new Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista. Glad to see all my old friends still working at front desk. The staff makes you feel like family. Congratulations on reopening day!

    DO NOT Book This Hotel

Do not book this hotel for a trip to Orlando / Kissimmee. This hotel is not open. We booked this hotel through booking.com only to find out when we arrived that the hotel is closed and we were actually booked at the Rosen Inn about 15 miles away on International Blvd. We booked this hotel based on location and reviews. After a long hot day at Disney’s Magic Kingdom, we arrived at the gate and told by the, not surprised to see us there, security guard that the hotel is closed and she gave us a card that lead us to the Rosen Inn. When we were checking into a hotel we knew nothing about, we let the front desk clerk know what happened and she didn’t seem surprised and wasn’t a bit apologetic. We feel this was a bait and switch.
