This was our first time in Mexico and our first time at an all inclusive resort. We went with extended family so there was something to do for everyone. The resort was clean and the food selection was good. We noticed during our week there when there was lower capacity some of the restaurants were closed, that said the buffet had a wonderful selection. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

    Lots of potential

There are lots of wonderful things about this hotel. The adult only rooftop lounge, the cleanliness, the resort itself is beautiful and the swim out rooms are beautiful and with the extra money. With it comes the altitude designation. I am still waiting for my slippers and robes that come along with it despite asking three different people. The restaurants available with this designation are much better. Like other reviews mentioned, we did experience some discrimination on three separate accounts. The first was when I passed over in a line of three for the Mexicans behind me. Luckily, they refused to be served before me. On another day, my father attempted to get a drink from the beach bar. Everything he asked for they said, don't have any, only beer. At the same time, a bartender we've had before (Brandon) came up and said he likes to drink this - and served my father the exact drink that was originally unavailable. Finally, one guy refused to speak directly to my dad, had a manager speak to him because he assumed he wasn't fluent in Spanish. Francesca from the Grill and Miguel from Montero restaurant are top notch and it's evident they aim to please. However, I wish there had been more choices for food. Most times the bars and buffet are the only ones available for lunch and sometimes the poor bartenders run back and forth to grab food because the snack bars are closed.... This is likely because it isn't peak season, but still. The mattresses are uncomfortable and the constant techno music drove us up a wall....especially when it's still being played at 1 am. However, at the end of the day, we're not home. The weather was beautiful, the beach was clean and the accommodations were worth the money.

Great...if you're a local or fluent in spanish

First of all, my review isn't all bad. This was the third time I went to an all-inclusive resort, but the first time in Puerto Vallarta. The hotel and room were gorgeous. The food was less than what I expected for an All-Inclusive, but was decent. Room service and food from the Grill had the most "all-inclusive" feel. The staff at the Grille, Francisca in particular, was fantastic. The drinks were good as expected, but the drinks of the day were poorly designed and tasted as such. Bartender at the front did not seem to enjoy serving non-Spanish speaking guests. I feel that the major issue was that my wife and I were not fluent in Spanish, so we had a hard time communicating with the staff and locals. We basically felt like outsiders. in the end we stayed in the room more often than we would have liked, ordered room service and only swam in the pools a few times. Mostly we stayed in the swim out. Our best experiences were off the resort. The overall service of the staff is what determined the rating. If you speak Spanish, then this resort I'm assuming will be great for you. For the non-Spanish speaking travelers, if you are looking for a luxury all inclusive hotel with great food and service, this may not be the one for you. We met a few people who had a similar experience and responded in the same manner.

We visited on family vacations, we got a chance to take a bite at “The Grill”restaurant, the food was delicious, I had the top sirloin well coocked and my mother ordered the salmon steak. The service was awesome, we got the pleasure of being attended by Francisca, a warm and polite waitress, very professional, and devoted to her job, who made our experience even better. Thank you so much. See you soon.

We arrived on the very busy Mexican Independence Day weekend, the resort was full, colorful and busy. By Tuesday is was quiet and we enjoyed a lovely room in building 4 and had a good restful week. The staff were great, the pools, beach and common areas well kept! a little disappointed that there were only the Buffet and 1 restaurant open until the weekend. friendly buffet staff and the Grill waiters made up for it with their service. We were entertained by the big storm that came through and only had red flag beach days so didn't get to snorkel as we had hoped. We had a great time, it was a lovely place to R&R.
