Another great stay!

This was our third time at this property and we love it! Good food, great drinks, great service, fun amenities. The entertainment team at the pool was great as usual- we love to chat with them and participate in the games. Thanks to Christopher, Brenda, Kelvin (so much energy!), and the 'Dominican Kevin Hart'.
Gorgeous beach and a good resort

We had a very good stay at the Aquamarine with a couple of things that we think could be improved for the future. The beach is gorgeous! I could see the grounds crew working hard in the morning to maintain it. Juan did an excellent job of keeping the drinks coming. He had such a positive attitude and we looked forward to seeing him every day. Yes, it was a bit of a walk from the resort, but the carts could take you there quickly. Overall, we enjoyed our food at the a la carte restaurants. Some had more vegetarian options than others. Service was a little slow at a couple of the restaurants (Thali and Mashua) but most had very good service. I highly recommend Limbo, as the food, cocktails and service were outstanding. Make sure you book the a la carte restaurants early through the Bahia app. The room was clean and spacious and as appears in their pictures, although the TV is basically a brick. Don't expect to watch TV. We could see that the Ambar resort had better TV's. I found the bed uncomfortable but my husband didn't. The entertainment team, especially Joselito, did an excellent job of running daily activities at the pool and in the evening. Our biggest disappointment was the lack of room service. You had to pay to access room service at the Aquamarine resort or upgrade to the Ambar resort where it was included. I felt like this was not clearly communicated at the time of booking, as every other all inclusive resort I have been to had room service included. Room service would have been nice in the evening, as the Sports Bar stops serving food at 11pm and the only option for late night food is to go down to La Isla at the beach. All in all, we had an enjoyable stay at the Aquamarine. Next time, I think we will book at the Ambar instead.
Maestro and Hija Vacation

This resort is an A+. Don't listen to the Karen's out there nitpicking. We loved everything about it. Albernis and Yohan and the front Ambar/Aquamarine Lobby were more than helpful and they went out of their way to be friendly. My daughter and I were there March 10-17 from Canada. At the bars, some real nice servers...Luis and David in particular. So much to see and do here.
Don't ever go here. It was a horrible hotel.

My check-in experience at this all-inclusive resort was extremely disappointing, especially compared to my previous experiences at other resorts in Punta Cana. Despite being part of a group of 10, we were told upon arrival that we would be upgraded and given our room keys later. However, when we returned promptly at 5:15 as instructed, we were informed that we had taken too long and only two rooms were available, which we had to share until the next day. Throughout my stay, I encountered numerous issues, including non-functional room keys that required multiple trips to the main entrance for replacements. Additionally, room service was not complimentary, limiting dining options to the buffet, where availability was often scarce, and service was slow. The overall service quality was subpar, with dismissive and rude behavior from staff members. Transportation carts frequently passed by our group without stopping, making it difficult to move around the resort. Furthermore, amenities like the mini-fridge were not restocked, and the drinks provided were often warm and took a long time to be served. Overall, my experience at this resort was deeply unsatisfactory, and I would not recommend it to anyone. It appeared that the resort catered more to older and white guests, as Hispanic guests like myself felt overlooked and neglected during our stay.
Could be a 5

This place is generally very good. I did not give it a 5 star rating for a couple of reasons. The most important is that the gift shop across from the buffet charged my credit card more than 3 times the sticker price of what I purchased. When I looked at my bill the gentleman noticed then took out a $5 USD to give me to offset the overcharge with no explanation. He over charged me $20 USD. It’s not a lot of money but it’s dishonest. No other issues with any of the other gift shops. The other reasons include the rooms. They do need to be updated or at the very least good pillows and topper for the mattress as a standard so you don’t have to ask for these items. The room was not the cleanest despite leaving daily tips and towards the end of our stay no cleans towels and no water. The beach area is very crowded and despite signs everywhere saying that chairs at the pools and at the beach could not be reserved, people did it anyway leaving a hunt for an empty chair if you followed the rules. Food, service and entertainment was wonderful. Grounds are beautiful.
