Beautiful resort with friendly, helpful staff. From the moment we arrived Damian and Lourdes were very helpful in arranging for our rooms to be close by since we were a small group and wanted to be close. They went on and beyond to accommodate us. We were celebrating a birthday and they decorated the room beautifully to surprise the birthday girl. The restaurant staff were fantastic. I am a very picky eater but Tomas made it always possible for me to custom the meals to my liking. The other hotel staff remember Jesus (Chucho), Noemy, Rob to name a few always were very attentive to our group and made sure were Alan is another staff member that gave us great tips and locations to explore on that side of the country. He also did activities during the day to keep us all entertained such as aerobics, learning how to make ceviche. Overall, I recommend Kore Tulum 100%...it is more of an adult, relax environment to disconnect from your daily life.

We arrived Thursday and left Sunday, mid-March 2020, right at the outset of the Covid pandemic advisories. I've read about the beauty of Tulum, and wanted to visit Cenotes and Mayan ruins and just relax, away from the city life. I did just that, because we managed expectations. Be an easy going traveller, and you'll find your own paradise here. The pros: Quiet, safe, good food and drinks, adults only hotel with good staff to guest ratio, good pool scene, free bikes and easy access to city, ruins, and beach. Don't expect high luxury, and instead expect cleanliness in an otherwise (now) dirty touristy city, comfortable beds and nice rooms with spacious showers, air conditioning unit and jacuzzi in suite, stocked mini fridge, and ability to make it your own. The pictures are accurate depictions. All inclusive means free room service (although they never got any of our 4 room service orders fully correct), all meals included, bikes, etc. Free yoga classes daily, geared towards "wellness" retreat style resort. We didn't get any of the somewhat overpriced massages or spa treatment, instead massaged one another. The ruins were very crowded, on a Friday. Long wait lines, lots of people, but we enjoyed the history of the site and had a great time exploring the little ancient city of Tulum. $6-10 per person USD per entry. Spent about 1-2 hours here. Interesting, no need for a tour if you read the signs, but if you're interested and have the time, they offer guided instructional tours. The hotel doesn't have a beach. We didn't swim in the ocean, unfortunately. We explored Cenotes each morning, returning to the hotel by noon to have lunch and lounge by the pool, get drunk, play pool volleyball and have a lot of sex. The Cenotes were incredible. Go to a place called Casa de Tortuga. It's a series of 4 cenotes, interconnected, where you can swim through caves and jump off small cliffs into crystal clear blue water. Bring snorkel gear so you don't have to use theirs. $25 per person fee. $30-$50 cab ride each way. Food recommendations: Hotdogs, quesadillas, nachos with chicken, "oriental" dinner, ice cream machine, dinner and lunch better than breakfast. Drinks: Non stop pina coladas and tequila. The cons: Somewhat unfriendly staff at hotel property, mostly at gate so little interaction, but still unnecessary. A few were great, Gerrardo and Noemi at the pool bar and wait staff were excellent, friendly, and made you feel at home. Room service unfortunately couldn't get our orders right, repeatedly. Order several coffees because they will bring you what looks like an espresso shot in a large cup and call it coffee. Ask for creamer or milk and sugar/sweetener because they won't bring it if you don't ask. You also have a little pod in your room, though. They won't bring syrup with the french toast if you don't ask lol the little things. But again, expectations - it's free room service, eating well in bed, then going to step out to swim in cave pools and be in great weather and poolside. They play edm music at the pool, lol, at a wellness retreat. I didn't mind, it was cool, but I can see how it took away a bit from the "relaxation." Summary: Tip your staff, they'll take care of you. Even if it's a dollar per person, it will go a long way. Manage expectations. The resort is small with beautiful grounds, not crowded, great pool scene and good food. They have a beach shuttle if you want to go. My advice: Either rent scooters/vespas and map your way around, or find yourself a chill cab driver and pay him to take you to/from wherever you wanna go. Bikes to ruins was fun. $100-$130 each way to and from airport in a taxi. About $50 for 2 people by bus (changing buses 2 times then cab). Take the cab or private shuttle, for the extra cost and negotiate cab fares. Don't be picky. Be calm and kind, and you'll have a great time. Have a bunch of sex, eat and drink well. Boom.

Beautiful resort. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff who go out of their way to ensure you're well taken care of. Ok food for an all-inclusive resort. Biggest drawback is the lack of beach access. Good deal overall. Would recommend.

Our trip was cancelled by the COVID-19 outbreak. Kore did not respond to messages asking to reschedule or get credit. Travelup, the company we booked through, cancelled the booking and took an 85% administration fee. Neither of these will ever see my business again.

Surly staff, unhelpful and inept. Tacky hotel with no beach access and a freezing cold pool even in March ! Appauling food and service , except for Leon in dining room. Extremely expensive for what you get - our room leaked from the ceiling on night one and not even an apology.
