Bath tub was moldy. Non-smoking room but smelled like stale cigarettes and mildew. Matress was lumpy. When we were leaving the property a guys approached my vehicle head on and apparently was looking for someone and asked my husband if he was that person, when we said "no" he said "pull you're mask down!" In a threatening manner. We did as he asked and then he apologized when he saw our faces. But I just know, he was up to no good, I was afraid for my life

This hotel was incredibly nice. Really quiet. Nice and clean rooms. The pool area with the fire pits was really nice and relaxing. The front desk was super nice people too. I’d definitely come back to stay here!

Went down to SD for the night to see some friends. Picked this hotel because it was convenient to where we wanted to be. The check in was great, room was perfect. AC was amazing! Shower and beds were great. Could not ask for any better. Top: ask for high floor, much quieter. Only suggestion is that i wanted to tip the housekeeping staff (i work at a hotel i know what they deal with) but the fd didn’t have change for me. Next time I’ll remember that so we can show them how much we appreciate them.

I checked in very late on Sunday and when I was unloading my luggage there were 5 or 6 people hanging out on the stairs and landing area impeding my access to my room. They were all smoking cigarettes but I could not tell if they were using other drugs. This activity continued until 4:00 AM with door slamming about every 2 minutes or so as they went in and out. Security should have done something about this but did not. After not sleeping well I reported this to the front desk and asked to relocate. The person who answered the telephone never got back to me so I had to call later and ask the manager for help. The second room I was in was overall more quiet. However, there was a construction crew staying on the 2nd floor below me and they were hanging out after work smoking and drinking in the walkways. There were about 4 or 5 of them although this was not as bad as the first night. The second room had maintenance problems. The faucets did not work properly and the electronic key pad entry did not work and had to be repaired as I waited. On the day of my checkout I had to take care of a business matter so I tried to call the front desk and ask for a 1 hour extension on checkout. I placed 3 or 4 calls with no answer and then waited about an hour to call down again. When I called the person I spoke with said that their policy was to not give a late checkout, I assume they would, but would charge. By now it was nearly checkout time and I tried to note to the front desk that I had waited over an hour just to get through to them. They refused to help. So I went down and spoke with someone who said he was the "General Manager", which may have been inaccurate. He was an incredibly rude person. He became upset with me for commenting upon the "gang" hanging out around my first room. He was even more upset with me for commenting on the fact that they do not answer the telephone for guests. (This happened more than once.) The conversation turned out very poorly and not once did this incredibly rude "manager" make any effort to apologize for the poor circumstances during my stay. (I also tried to explain to this "manager" that the poor sleep on Sunday had made the business part of my trip more difficult - that angered him even more.) Some other comments and observations include: (1) there was trash everywhere around the property and the trash cans were overflowing; (2) the refrigerators are very small, smaller than most ice chests, and the small freezer in mine was frozen shut needing to be defrosted; (3) the construction is very poor and you can hear any neighbors going in and out or talking; and (4) there was an odd odor in or around my room, possibly mold? This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had and I could never recommend Days Inn Hotel Circle to anyone.
