Location- superb. However, the hotel itself is not right by the ocean, the golf course is. If you want to play golf and get a decent tee time, you have to stay in this hotel. Golf course is beautiful, but this review is for the hotel. Service - definitely NOT five star, our room wasn’t cleaned without the do not disturb sign. They finally came clean after we called the very last night a few hours before we checked out. This was the only time our room was cleaned during our stay. This is an old and outdated hotel. Hallways and rooms are all very dark, most of them have no views whatsoever. TVs are outdated, can’t use the Hulu or Netflix app on it. Overall Value- definitely not worth the price we paid. It wasn’t a fantastic stay as we anticipated. Not sure we would be back. Will not recommend the hotel.

The Lodge is awesome. The views incredible. Beautiful interior. The staff is very nice and helpful. We took a nature hike with Gabby this morning. She was knowledgeable and fun. They had water and trail mix for us.

Had a great experience this summer at The Lodge at Torrey Pines. The hotel is a wonderful example of the craftsman style and was made to look like it had been there for many years. The attention to detail is everywhere. The rooms are spacious with marble bathrooms. We only ate in the grill downstairs but it was very good with excellent service. My wife and daughter enjoyed the spa. We went hiking next door at Torrey Pines State Park which was very nice. Close by to the city of La Jolla. Don't miss going to the glider park next door to watch the flyers.

Enjoyed guided trail walk with staff Gaby - LOVELY lady- impressive that a hotel would have staff spend so much time walking people around twice daily. Also great trail mix bar at the lobby as well. Also appreciate AM coffee, house lemonade, flavored water at the pool. Nice towncar- we didn’t use but great option for quick trips. Also appreciate Tim and Mara at the front desk who were very kind and answered questions and assisted us in all ways! Furthermore met some folks who brought their dog for $75 / up to a week! Great deal. Their dog was darling! Great place and great service!!

This was our second stay at Torrey Pines, and equally as wonderful as the first. The staff are attentive and kind, always with a ready smile and greeting. We had dinner in The Grill 2 different nights, out on the patio overlooking the golf course and the ocean. Delicious food, excellent service, insanely awesome view. One morning, my husband and daughter played golf, and they both loved the course and the views. My other daughter and I enjoyed massages at the spa, and relaxed for an alfresco lunch by the pool. The spa is beautiful, with everything you need to unwind and feel pampered. The property is landscaped wonderfully, with panoramic views of the ocean, framed by green grass and blue sky. This was my 60th Birthday trip, and we loved every minute. This time, we didn't get a chance to hike in the Torrey Pines preserve which is adjacent to the Lodge, but did on our first trip, and I highly recommend making the effort to go. It's an easy hike with stunning views. Since my daughter moved from Texas to San Diego, I know we'll be traveling to California more often in the coming years. I look forward to staying at The Lodge at Torrey Pines again.
