We decided to stay at the Argonaut for the start of our trip to the states. The hotel concierge was great and helpful and the check in was fast and good. We didn’t have a car but parking is very expensive. The whole of San Francisco is expensive in every way so the hotel was no exception. Great location to visit the wharf and plenty of places to eat and buses/trams to catch. Would thoroughly recommend the hotel

Good location for the Bay and Piers but some distance from main shopping areas/sites though these can be reached by adjacent cable car service of taxi (Uber). Staff helpful but a little 'distant'. Comfortable well equipped room. Can be a little noisy around the hotel. Expensive food and services.

Walked into the Argonaut Suite (Room 345 - recommended) with my husband and was met by a classy suite with views of (I kid you not) Ghirardelli, the cable car turntable, the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz in the bay. We then proceeded to have 4 great nights enjoying the hotel, the sights and the city. I envy those who get to stay here in future. This is not to say there aren’t niggles: drop the ‘price tag on everything’ policy (a free bottle of water of two isn’t really going to hit the bottom line at these room rates); up the water pressure; sort out the electrics so you can use a wall switch rather than have to switch on every-single-light-in-the-room individually; and please, please sort out the Dish TV system!

I stayed at the Arganout for 4 nights and found the stay very pleasant. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, if not a little OTT with the nautical theme. The location is great for taking in all the attractions and a would definitely recommend this hotel.

Comfortable, stylish boutique on the wharf

Good sized room with bay and bridge view and a very comfortable king bed . Great location for the sights , wandering and people watching . Plenty of good food within an easy Uber . Breakfast was well prepared and good choices freshly prepared and with 3 nights get a 10% discount by eating it in the hotel each day - better anyway than most local choices . Nice touches like games in the large lounge . Front of house staff very helpful . Decent bath and shower but could be better with standalone power shower that seems so difficult to find in US boutique hotels
