I will return for my tenth stay at CSA this December. The location and beach are beautiful. The grounds are covered with palms and the serpentine pathways through the greenery belies the fact that there are a lot of people on the site. Staff are friendly and helpful. I always look forward to meeting staff members who have been at CSA since my first visit. They still remember me. I enjoy the whole experience from socializing over a breakfast of whatever I feel like eating, to the scuba diving on a beautiful new boat. The dive staff is experienced and makes every dive fun and safe for beginners as well as interesting for experienced divers. I enjoy the casual luxury of the place, with no need to dress up in the evenings and the staff being friendly and helpful while not intruding on the experience. The weight room is first class and accommodates the casual work out to some very heavy lifting. Donovan, the supervisor, is a knowledgeable quiet man who can give every assistance with your workout or answer any questions you may have about your fitness plan. Donovan, thanks for helping me to my heaviest lifts while working with you in Jamaica. I enjoy the wide variety of food and have never gone hungry at CSA !!! The tennis courts are well kept and tennis is part of what makes CSA a destination resort. Night life is as varied as the menu, from piano bar to the house band led by the talented Lincon, to visiting singers and performers. Every night different and enjoyable. The rooms are simple, clean spacious. Hats off to Couples Swept Away, my happy place.

We took our Honeymoon at Couples Swept Away in Negril Jamaica and it was a week to remember. The facility offered everything from health and fitness, luxury spa, night life, entertainment, water and beach activities, excursions, and relaxation. It was a wonderful mix of romance, fun and socializing. The age groups was from 20's to 50's and all guests we met were enjoying their stay. We never heard a single couple with a complaint about the facility. The beach is clean, well groomed and warm as a bath tub. There is drink service to the beach and lots of lounge chairs and floaters for the ocean. If you are looking for a tan there's tons of room but lots of shade for those who prefer to read or just relax. The many restaurants offered wonderful flavours and variety every day. You were never tired of the large buffet but you still had great options for al a cart with the other restaurants. There are two finer dining al a cart restaurants so bring at least two nice outfits so you can celebrate in style. There is limited beef choices but tons of chicken, fish, seafood, pork and vegetarian options. We also participated in the private dinner on the beach (for an additional fee) and loved the evening would recommend to all. The staff were amazing and the hospitality flowed as well as the free drinks. There was never a request they didn't try to accommodate and they never met you without a smile. We met many guests that were return visitors and we will definitely join the group of repeaters. A Honeymoon to remember. Thank you to Couples Swept Away and Westjet Vacations!

An extraordinary staff, always eager and well disposed to help. The sports and spa facilities are excellent and the best in Jamaica. For an all inclusive, it is very satisfying that they don't cut corners, the food is 5 star, excellent quality liquor, bar service, even on the beach!! The long beach and the crystal clear water was a perfect scene. Great entertainment, morning and evening at the Palms, great effort put out by the entire staff to stage the Friday night Beach party. Even at 98% capacity, the layout and facilities are such that you never feel crowded, never fighting for a good spot on the beach. Was our second time back, going back next year with friends. Thank you swept away for another wonderful experience. Anthony and Mary

Couples Swept Away was a perfect honeymoon! It was exactly what we were looking for. Lots of pools to find a quite spot, wasn't too big of a resort, not too busy, no big party groups there, activities aimed at couples & honeymooners were a lot of fun. Location was good - 1.5hrs away from airport. Most off resort activities required a little drive - horseback riding only 20mins away. Zipline, however, was about a 2hr drive. Downtown shopping area only a 10min drive if you wanted to buy coffee or booze off resort (we did, big savings). Staff very laid back and easy going. It's a no-tipping, no-cash resort, which is nice, but takes the bartering out of the equation if you're into that. We would go back, for sure. There was an issue to sewer smells on the resort throughout our stay. Might of been related to Hurricane Sandy that was the week before. There was also 2 male bathrooms I noted to have their floor drains back up. Might be an issue that's resolved now, but the smell wasn't pleasant.

We have travelled for years and have stayed at numerous all inclusives in Mexico as well as the Dominican Republic and Cuba. We have also tried top notch cruises and have found Couples Swept away by far the best. First of all the beach - the beach is amazing and goes on for miles. Than there is the staff - who were all extremely welcoming. As to the food, it was very good and the selection of liquors varied and top notch. The exercise facility alone is worth the trip with a lap pool, tennis courts as well as tennis clinics, yoga, pilates, jogging track, basketball court and on and on it goes. All activities are included - water skiing, a sunset cruise, snorkelling in either day light or at night. You can't fit it all in in just a short week. We have already decided to return. Next year we will forgo the beach front verandah suite- as all the rooms are nice -and spend the money on a longer stay.

My wife & I spent two amazing weeks at Couples Swept Away in Negril in Aug 2011. We have never seen a beach so beautiful or water so crystal blue in our lives. The staff at CSA were truly amazing, always smiling & always willing to offer advice or assistance if needed. The Hotel grounds were great, very tropical & lush, the work out facilities were by far the best we?ve ever experienced at a hotel. The restaurants were very good & offered a wide variety of dining options. If I had to pick one thing that put Couples Swept Away above any other hotel we stayed at in the past it would have to be all the inclusions. Everything from catamaran cruises & scuba diving to the strict no tipping policy truly helped make our holiday one of the most relaxing getaways we?ve ever been on!

If you are looking for one of the most beautiful beaches anywhere, here it is. This is a resort I will definitely return to. We had an oceanfront room which I'm sure helped with the experience, 3rd floor. Sunset every night from our balcony. Room was clean and roomy enough for us, a/c was great. The pools are dated and nothing special but with that beach and crystal clear ocean there was no need to even go in the pools. Plenty of shady area for beach chairs but if you want a hut or a certain spot, get up early and put your towel out there(6 am), otherwise you will be fine. The pads on the chairs also serve as your float for the ocean! Plenty of water sports if you desire. Take a walk on this gorgeous beach and check out some local flavor. We went to the Boat Bar and had lunch one day and listened to some great music. Security at the hotel is very tight, there are some vendors on the beach during the day but just say no thank you and you will not be bothered. Food was very good and plentiful. Many of the guests are repeat customers which says a lot. I'm sure that I will be one of them!!

Just returned from a week's stay with 3 other couples for 50th bday celebration. Everything is great at this resort - nothing bad to report. Ride is long from Montego Bay but we flew back. Best $130 excursion ever! Got to enjoy breakfast and relax without leaving so early. ??...this resort is very different from family AI resorts in Mexico. Fewer but more consistent good food daily, high shelf liquors, no bugs anywhere. Beach is beautiful and water is perfect. Security very present on the beach every day. We didn't upgrade our room for beach or water views - so little time spent there imo, not needed. We didn't miss out. Short walks to get every where and plenty of seats/chairs to enjoy when you wanted. Took us all week to figure out the sidewalks and paths but it was a vacation and not a big deal. You won't be disappointed staying here. We hope to be back!

My husband and I were married at Couples Swept Away the first week of April 2017. We were joined by 16 of our friends from locations throughout the US. This was my second visit to this particular resort (first visit was in 2008 with a group of 20, one of whom was also on this trip). This was my husbands first visit to Jamaica and CSA was first introduction to the all-inclusive resort. We have read (and were very entertained) by the reviews rated as "TERRIBLE" on Trip Advisor. They are just not accurate representations of the resort as a whole or of the people who work very hard to make your stay at CSA enjoyable. If you are expecting a 1st world luxury hotel experience in a developing Caribbean Island nation, Jamaica is not for you. What we experienced was truly an incredible week that was topped off by a wedding and reception that far exceeded our expectations. All of the food was great! Our highlights were the breakfast buffet at the Palms (yes, you MUST have the coffee), the private dinner we hosted on the beach for our guests which was a 5-course Caribbean menu and the Friday Night Beach Party. We enjoyed MANY drinks during our stay! Our favorites came from the two bars on the beach and included the Snake Eyes, the Humming Bird, the Jamaican Smile and the Dirty Banana. The lovely Natasha kept our whole group properly hydrated all week! The spa services were absolutely fantastic and the facilities were beautiful. Almost everyone in our group had a massage while visiting. We highly recommend a couples massage with Wanda and Colonette! Also, I had hair and make-up done the day of my wedding and was very pleased with the results...natural, elegant and not overdone. The beach is gorgeous and freshly groomed every morning. The resort was fully booked the week were were there but it never felt crowded. We were always able to find enough chairs, floats and fresh towels for our whole group and the water-sports staff was always willing to help us move chairs to one spot for all! The water was mostly calm and the swimming/floating was perfection. The nightly entertainment was also better that we had expected. Highlights were Dance Xpressionz and the dancehall group! There are really no words to express how pleased we were with our wedding ceremony and reception. The entire staff went above and beyond to make this day incredibly special and romantic but our coordinator, Priscilla, was absolutely wonderful. We will go back...

Sunset cruise on the big catamaran, Hobie Cat, windsurfing, paddle board, kayaks, snorkeling, tennis & lessons, it's all included. There's so much to do. I'll break this review down into a few different sections. I could go on and on but I'll try not to. Arrival, everything went very smoothly. We arranged private transportation from the airport via Rocky's Tours, it was 70 dollars US for my wife and I. The driver met us just outside the airport and gave us a couple of ice cold red stripe (was appreciated after a 6 hour flight) and we were on our way. The driver's name was Leroy and he gave us a nice tour through Montego Bay, and then all the small towns on the coast all the way to our resort. It was really great! You learn quite a bit of history and see the real Jamaica! I'd recommend this to anyone doing Negril for the first time. Once we arrived at the resort we were greeted with cold towels and a glass of champagne. We gulped that back! We were thirsty! The check in process took us about 15 mins, it wasn't that busy as there was just 1 other couple checking in with us at the same time. At one point they did end up with our room and us with theirs so they should maybe just do 1 couple at a time, as it didn't make sense there were 3 people behind the desks? Oh well, we laughed and got it all sorted out. The bell hop then took our bags and led us though the most beautiful grounds to our suite. He was very funny. They call the resort home away from home and it really does feel that way. This is a non tipping resort but I did pass out a few dollars if someone really enhanced our experience. The staff are all amazing but some really do go above and beyond! Room - We loved it! We booked an Atrium suite and we had a partial view of the ocean, we were back about 200 meters from it. Room 1123 if you want to put in a request. We were ground level, with a beautiful balcony and hammock. This was my wife's favourite place to sit. I loved being out there at 6am having a morning coffee with a shot of rum cream in it every day...(ok maybe 2 shots!) The room was clean and rustic. We loved that. It wasn't shiney and new tho, so if you have a problem with some caulking looking old, or maybe a bit of dingy colour in the bathroom corner from age then you won't like this place. The buildings could use some TLC all over the resort. But that didn't make or break the place for us. I just noticed it and moved on, this isn't a new resort but its an amazing one! Mini-bar in room was an issue for us all week. The first day we just grabbed a guy filling another room and asked him to stock us up, bottle of rum, vodka, wine, I paid 13.00us extra for a bottle of rum cream (do it!) and then a few extra beer. There are little cards that you can fill out to have certain items restocked every day if you hang it out by 9am. I filled it out every day but the bar was never restocked. About 4 days in we finally got upset enough we called the front desk. They called us back at about 10pm to ask if it was filled and it was not. It wasn't a big deal to go to the bar but at the same time coming back to your room after a beach day to a drink or 2 is what you want, and our supply ran out days ago! They finally stocked it up on our last day but that was disappointing. The food was great in certain places like Lemon Grass, Sea Grapes and the Cabana grill, and then hit or miss on the Buffet at the Palms. I think for the Buffet it depends if you manage to get it when its fresh, same as every other buffet I've ever been to. Patois was ok, to me the service there was horrible. One night we went and were told 1/2 an hour wait list at 8:30pm, which is no big deal, we just hit the bar for drinks. But there must have been 20 empty tables around the restaurant? I understand we are running on Jamaica time but the bar was packed with people waiting and everyone was confused what was going on. It took about an hour to get seated. And when we were seated our waitress took so long between courses that we left after the main dish and raced to the buffet at the other end of the resort to grab desert. Sea Grapes was by far our favourite place to eat, the fish taco's omg! We had them every day they were that good! My wife loved the sushi but its only available a few days. We booked Lemon grass twice and ask for a balcony ocean view table, its worth the wait! So beautiful! Now the beach! This truly is the most beautiful beach I've ever seen! Yes there are vendors selling things. We stepped out the first night and about 8 seconds later this guy had the biggest bag of pot I've ever seen, I took a few pictures and just told him we can't, my wife just had a brain aneurysm and I get test at work so he put it away and then just chatted with us for about 30 mins, recommending things to see and do. All the people down here are so friendly. A lot of activities are included in the resort, we did hobie cat sail boats, with a guide because it was so rough but it was excellent, a day snorkel to "mexico" which is a reef about a mile off the resort, and a night snorkel which we paid extra for 35us a person and it was amazing! My wife was so nervous but afterwards she couldn't stop talking about it. Lobsters, sea turtles, crabs, puffer fish, eels. All sorts of interesting things on the night snorkel! Do it! Over all this place is a solid 4.5 stars. The inclusions make up for certain area's it could do better. We thought another restaurant or 2 for dinner would be good. Friday night buffet Jamaican beach party was the best meal to me by far. I love the local food! Curried goat and Akee, so good! We will return because this resort is on such an amazing beach, but it will be a few years!
