Ocean Point, top notch again.

micp962 (Wimborne Minster, United Kingdom) on May 18, 2024

Our second visit to Ocean Point, and it's still as brilliant as ever. Lovely secluded location Perfect for peace n quiet Spotless airy rooms Top notch a la carte food Plentiful choice of drinks. And as for the staff, they are all just wonderful, attentive, smiling, brilliant hospitality. Special shout out to our Brian, who just has that infectious personality that makes your day even better.

Rest, Solitude and 3 Square Meals a Day Were Had

Mary C on May 17, 2024

I stayed in a cabana room (3rd floor) in early May, and really loved the room. Though the resort seems to be older, the room was renovated and updated. The extended cabana/balcony was so cute and comfortable - until it rained. The roof over it is not sealed in any type way so run for cover when the storms come. I'm sure the cabanas on the 2nd and 1st floors were also soaked with the runoff, as the water went right through the gaps in the floor boards. Aside from the bar area and the "smoking pavilion" there's really no shaded place to hang out - outside of the room and the lobby. The entire staff is courteous and helpful, and I appreciated them so much. The resort itself is very well kept - swept, cleaned and paint touched up. The beach is extremely eroded and, the one day that I attempted to spend time there - littered with cigarette butts. It doesn't appear that it is raked/combed on a daily basis. It's been mentioned in other reviews that the resort is in a secluded place which I didn't really think about/didn't think it would make a difference, as I was looking to stay on the resort and have an all-inclusive experience. But, because the beaches are small & eroded & you can't walk anywhere, I realized to the full extent how you can have a feeling of being "marooned" there. The cientele is older (I'm early 50's & most seemed older than me) which is fine, but if you're looking for any sense of liveliness, this isn't the place for you. The pool is nice. No cable tv, just tvs connected to the internet. I dared not log into Netflix because I didn't trust myself to remember to log out. If you want to be left to your own devices and served 3 square meals a day with wine & "Caribbean" drinks", this is the place for you.
