The stay was good, perfect location by the Marina. Special mention for excellent service at Ocate Mexican restaurant Julio and Flavio the best dining experience. Arturo and David at the Italian restaurant did a great job. At the bar Angel ,Sergio and Pedro at the pool bar.

New favorite destination

We had a blast!! The location is perfect. Right on the Marina so we rarely had to take a taxi to go anywhere and the view from our balcony was amazing. The staff is very attentive and helpful. We especially enjoyed our conversations with Leonardo in the coffee shop. All the water excursions are within a ten minute walk. Our new favorite Mexico destination!!

They hide the premium liqour and have food safety issues

Josh M on May 16, 2024

They no longer serve don julio at every bar. This was not the case the last several years. Now it is only available at one bar for a short window of time during dinner. This would have been nice to know before visiting again. The Food at Bites has made someone in my group sick on every trip. This time it was me and it was a very unpleasant experience. Breakfast is still solid. Pool and beach scene are both great.

Could be Better

MapsTravel92 (Chicago, Illinois) on May 16, 2024

I expected so much more from what I had heard about the resort. However, the things I heard didn’t live up to the experience. There’s not much entertainment, the food was cold for breakfast, and housekeeping even entered our room after 8pm at night after being told services weren’t needed during the day. I definitely wouldn’t book here again.

Short Cabo trip

Molly P (East Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) on May 16, 2024

I read many reviews before picking this location and once I got to Breathless I knew what kind of review I wanted to write so if you're on the fence, I hope this review helps. To preface this review, my husband and I went for a short trip and our only expectation was to relax and spend time together without the kids. The resort is, in my opinion, located in a pretty prime spot. Right around the corner is the "mall" as the concierge named it. To us, it was similar to a boardwalk. It had shops and restaurants and was a really great walking around spot. The downfall, the heckling people. Be prepared for this. It's obnoxious, but we learned to ignore them or even play along (my husband pretended to dodge them the minute they came up to us). Just know this going into the trip. We are also outdoor people, so we did a lot of walking around and less laying around at the beach. We wanted to hike up to this flag, but apparently, it's hard to do and you need to get to a certain location by 730am to do it. If it's something you are interested in, ask around how to hike up there and someone will lead you to the correct location. We also walked around the marina to the beach at the other side and climbed some rocks to access the beaches that the boats took you to. It was a fun day of exploring. About the resort itself. Yes, it is 2 hotels, but I totally get why it's separated. The walk to the other hotel is so close (but it does not have the name on the building, but someone is usually standing near the stairs to help guide you in the right direction) and really not a big deal. The first hotel has just the rooms (which are absolutely amazing with a mini bar), a 24 hr bar with an awesome big screen to watch sports, Bites restaurant (which was alright for dinner, unless it was the taco bar--better for breakfast) and a smaller pool which was calm. The other hotel has the larger pool with the DJ, access to the beach, and the rest of the restaurants. If you want a party during the day, go to the larger pool. Want a party at night, its in the 24-hr bar which is the building the rooms are located in. The restaurants at the hotel are very subpar for dinner. The Italian place was actually our favorite. But I think this is to be expected from an all-inclusive location. We went out for more authentic Mexican food a few times which was AMAZING! The buffet breakfast at Spoon was awesome! We got there early (like 730) and had no issues. So if you are unsure about this place know that the rooms and views are amazing, but the hotel food is just alright and locals can ruin your vibe quickly with their heckling. We would definitely return again and probably stay a few days longer!
