Relaxation vacation in Mazatlan,MX

Go393198 on May 17, 2024

We had the best time here and so relaxing. The restaurants were great, service amazing, and the food was excellent. We enjoyed the adult pool every day, quiet and loved the breeze from the ocean. The weather was 80 to 84 degrees, perfect. We had zero problems and only praise for the great staff. Our room was comfortable, handicap accessible and slept great. No crazy noise at night, just peace and quiet. 5 stars for us, 2 years in a row.

Moro Resort Stay

Very beautiful resort to stay and eat. safe and it has access to the beach thru the pool. You will find activities to do for the kids and adults. This place can be very well spend with family or as a couple. The service is great. It’s worth what you pay for. Fernando takes really good care of you at the pool service drink and snacks.

My stay was wonderful. We enjoyed watching the total eclipse. Beds were very comfortable. Had a little kitchenette. Stores just across the street. Close to several restaurants. Very reasonable price.

Beautiful grounds but not well maintained

trudyd242 (Langley City, Canada) on Apr 24, 2024

The hotel and grounds were beautiful but the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The large windows in La Concha restaurant were really dirty and never got cleaned all week. The stairs leading to our 4th floor junior suite were full of dirt etc and never got swept all week either. The floor in our suite was so dirty that our bare feet got filthy after one day.The sliding door was very difficult to open and close. There was something wrong on the track. Also it was not explained very well which restaurants were part of the All-Inclusive. We received conflicting information and were not told that there was a shuttle bus to take you to the ones that were further away. We spent a lot of time trying to find the restaurants on foot. When asking for help we could hardly find someone who spoke English. We did however really enjoy the two tours that we booked at our hotel, the El Moro. We were also disappointed and surprised that there was no Wifi unless we paid $12. U.S per day.

Run away. FAST!

Absolutely appalling. More than a year ago I booked 2 one bedroom suites. We got one, but the 2nd one was not. It was 2 standard units they cobbled together. The first suite was in decent shape with nice furniture. The 2nd a wreck. Everything was broken, scraped and dented. There was even a large head shaped size dent in the freezer door. All this despite booking the elite package. Do not accept the offer of free airport transfers. It was described to me as a van which would come straight to the hotel. It was a bus which made stops at multiple hotels. If you are OK spending 3 hours getting to the hotel use it. But, keep an eye on your luggage at each stop. They gave my husband's bag to someone else at another hotel. Skip the all inclusive plans and go to local restaurants. Our first dinner at El Pario was inedible. Our 2nd, at La Concha was beyond weird. The restaurant was mostly empty, but we were told it was full. They offered us a table on the patio, but had no menus available. Despite all tables being empty, the hostess sat us in the bus station. 30 minutes later we still had no menus but ordered ceviche and a couple other things. We got a basket of very stale bread and some cheese whiz with crackers. Tables around us started to fill and, somehow they all got menus. Unclear why we couldn't get even one menu. OR drinks. OR food. We spent $ 1300 USD on the elite plan and when we try to make reservations we are told they are full. Yet when we walk by half the tables are empty. I have to wonder if it is an attempt to get us to eat at the buffets. Don't get the elite package as they don't deliver. No special check in. No snacks. No drinks. Terrible room. No bathrobes. No slippers. No pool towels. No tote bags. No priority seating at restaurants. Surcharges on many of the menu items. Which they say aren't really surcharges. And no nightly turn down service. They don't seem to be able to accommodate guests staying at the hotel, yet they sell day passes which include lunch. I am guessing this is why we were unable to get lunch and had to order room service.
