Not what was expected for. 4.5 star TripAdvisor property!

First day at the property and somewhat disappointed. The property seems a bit rundown and in need of attention. Pool area and walkways had litter and were unkept. Check in at reception was not well organized and took about 15 minutes. The woman who checked us in was nice enough and pleasant but relatively uninterested. We immediately went to the beach bar to get some lunch and was disappointed to learn they were out of most everything (it was 3:30) and the restaurants would not open until 5:30 for dinner. The bar, “Jerk Hut” was a mess and the staff were slow and uninterested. In particular, Christopher Wilson, in the course of 10 mins standing at the bar, never acknowledged me, never engaged, when I attempted to get his attention he simply went in the back and literally never tried to take my order (there were only 3 other patrons at the bar). Fortunately, one of the other female bartenders noticed me waiting and reluctantly stepped in to pour me 2 draft beers. In order to get around you mainly rely on shuttle carts as the property is very large. The carts are few and far between, very run down (old, rusting and appear more like maintenance carts than guest service carts. Hoping for a better experience in the days to come but will likely not look to revisit this property!

Food was good communication needs to be better I wanted to have my wedding there but it was a hassle to get an appointment to look around then we paid extra for the premium experience that was a waste they don’t do what they say very annoyed about that

This was the most beautiful and relaxing vacation I’ve had in years. The staff is amazing and I can’t wait to return to be with my family. I was able to share the beautiful resort with my family for their first time and they were so excited. Thank you for the hospitality and memories.
Not 5 Star Quality! certainly not “Platinum”!

Visited May 2024 for 2 week stay. Al a carte restaurants were closed for part of week. Buffet restaurants lack of food variety and food cold. Not enough staff to cope!
