Outstanding service. Cedric, Rasa, and donoven, were the best staff we have ever had. Thanks for an awesome experience. Housekeeping was attentive. The lobby bar had a perfect selection of drink choices. The pool was crystal clear and beach was relaxing
Meh...nice resort...but won't be back.

Purpose of Trip: 50th B-day Celebration as a couple. Pros: Overall friendly staff, well maintained grounds and facility, good/fun planned entertainment, decent food/restaurant choices, buffets, spacious pool and beach area with plenty of lounge options. Cons: *Preface that we researched months of reviews and other resorts before settling on this one. This resort destination choice was mainly based on raving reviews, various options for room types, shorter flight from home. First time to Jamaica. Overall, we had an ok, relaxing experience. However, we walked away quite disappointed and likely will not return. That is the main reason for the rating. We particularly were excited to experience (first time) the Butler service. Based on the reviews, we went with expectations and therefore, willing to pay $$$ for the extra service. Unfortunately, day one, even with tipping, the Butler service was almost non-existent. Perhaps they were short staffed while there. However, it seemed that the Butlers really just delegate out to the different departments, such as housekeeping, room service, restaurants etc. They pushed us a morning message via (What's App) on the daily resort itinerary, which was appreciated. Otherwise, we did not notice any 'extra' benefits to paying for Butlers. You are assigned a morning and night, and their shifts seem to be 7am-3pm, 3pm to 11pm. I observed most of the Butlers standing around the lobby area when passing through. We only heard from them, if we reached out. The communication was more like 'radio silence'. We will say, that the night Butler, was finding himself having to execute what the morning Butler left by the wayside and he seemed frustrated by that. We started off tipping 'in advance' but then we got smart, and tipped only if service was provided as requested. We had to make multiple requests for simple things daily such as ice buckets, replenished snacks (that come with the room), sodas etc. Either it never came, was incorrect, or was like pulling teeth and still would take hours for it to show up. One Butler made it a point to tell us, that on day one, he put in the system to ensure our room was cleaned daily...that was confusing to me. The other thing we noticed, is once we declined or backed out of the commitment for their offered 'breakfast tour' about their club membership, there was a shift felt by service we received. We even apologized for changing our minds, and explained we were only there 4 days, and did not want any obligations on this trip. We were assured it was fine and understood. However, the concierge still chased us down the hall the morning we were scheduled to attend the breakfast and tour, after we already told both Butler multiple times, and whomever kept calling our room that we were not, in fact, planning to attend. On our last day, in the morning, one Butler requested I do a review and I said, I will consider it, if the ice and snacks are in our room, by 2pm. He assured me, on our last day, this would happen after all, and it still was left undone. These all were things that we assumed were part of the regular part of room service by the resort. So we were confused by the purpose of even having Butlers? Maybe we did it wrong, lesson learned, likely will not pay extra for Butlers on future trips. Not worth the hassle, or let down. *Note, we used Southwest Vacations to book. It was indicated that we would have $800 in resort credit upon arrival. Keep in mind that is not cart blanche credit to use however chosen. It is essentially a coupon book for 'discounts' on certain things at the resort. The concierge used that coupon book to negotiate us coming to their club membership breakfast/tour by saying she could increase the value of the coupons if we agreed to attend. After digesting that for what it was, we were disappointed by the whole resort credit thing. We relaxed, we learned lessons, we checked Jamaica off the been there, done that list. Next!
