We stayed at the Grand Palladium Punta Cana We travel a lot... a lot and it is the first time that I felt quite unwelcome staying in this hotel. I highly doubt I will return to this hotel. Pros The facilities are very clean and well-kept. I felt safe at all times. Most employees are pleasant and hard working people The worst thing for us was the transportation. The hotel offers a golf cart service that takes visitors back and forth (there many golf carts going around the premises). If you are NOT a member of the Hotel, forget about this option, you have to wait for the train. One day when it was RAINING, I asked one of the carts drivers that passed by us to please take us to the restaurant. We were going for dinner and he told me "the train is coming… the train will come" he didn't have any passengers with him, he was free and it was raining. He was already going in the direction we needed to go. I asked him to please take us since we were walking at night under the rain with our 6 year old child. He left us in the rain. It is true trains are available (maybe every 15 mins ) and if you missed one it will take a while for the next one. Because they take the longer routes and go all around the premises so you will waiting for a long time. This was not the only time... every time we needed a transfer and even though there are many golf carts circulating and they are empty they will tell you... wait for the train to come. They will only transport “MEMBERS” If you are not a member of the hotel you are treated as a SECOND class guest. They have a membership sales team that forces you to consider and go to the sales pitches – but they are not honest with you in letting you know what is the intend. As soonest you arrive- a person approaches you and tells you. Tomorrow I will pick up and you will have breakfast with my colleague and he will show you the grounds -after that you are free. I told the person I am not interested in timeshare or any of that sort sale. He said this will last very short time and then you are free to go. If you don't do it, the employee makes you feel guilty that their job will be affected if you don't attend. He also tells you that it will last a short time which is not true/ lasted 3+ hours wasting your precious time on a pitch sale. Well, we had to go and during the membership sale offer Mr. Vladimir who is the main person of finances /sales was very aggressive in trying to get us to buy the membership. Making us feel extremely uncomfortable- honestly NOT professional at all. Then after 4 hours wasted they give you a pass to the spa in a effort to thank you for attending. That's another story because to make the reservation for the message you can't do it over the phone you have to it in person and you have to go to another building and waste time and travel and wait for the train... because remember the carts golf won't take you. The massage is only offered at the beach NOT in the Spa itself. The beds are small for 2 people, they are not Queen size. Very limited games/ no slides in the pools areas for children 5-11 Check in - super slow Rooms smell damp No food service at the pool Food – the same in 8 days Overall, I don’t consider to be a returning customer.

Overall, had a great time with the problems we had. Great view .very hot food was delicious. Beach had a lot of seaweed

Our first visit to DR and this resort was very pleased. We upgraded our room to the Deluxe Panoramic Oceanview Room which was right on the beach with a breath taking view! Close to lobby, pool, bars and buffets. Staff and service excellent No issues with food. Would definitely recommend this resort

100% recommended, traveled with friend and we had a great time, the resort is absolutely huge. Food variety was out of this world.

We enjoyed the Palace and that we could frequent the restaurants and shows at the Punta Cana and Bavaro
