Location needs an upgrade . This is not the staple of the TRS brand

The staff is very nice and tries very hard. The property needs an upgrade and different mindset about the activities. The resort is quiet and that is good for the most part but you need more to do in the afternoon and evening. The property has space to do more . The food needs a big overhaul . This is not the TRS brand I know of .

Amazing resort, food could be improved

We had a great experience, the resort is stunning. We had a swim up room and the main two pools were amazing. The swim up bar is great. The staff were amazing especially Siegfriedo, Venus, Manuel and Juan Luis so helpful. Venus delivered drinks to us at our swim up room and went above and beyond. Pools were cleaned daily. The scenery is amazing and you can’t ask for much more. Good entertainment offer. We had dinner on the beach one night which was beautiful. WhatsApp butler service was great. Air con was great. Everything in your mini bar is free and refilled daily. On site shop is really handy for medicines. Lively but not too busy, we never struggled to get a spot by the pool, never too loud. The only let down is the food, the breakfast offer is not great, recommend getting the omelette at breakfast as it’s cooked fresh in front of you. At lunch and dinner, they cook steak very well and definitely a good option and pasta is fine but can’t recommend much else. The room service food we ordered was terrible. Always recommend going to get food from the restaurant and bring it back if you want to eat in your room. We visited the nearby town one day and rented a buggy to drive around. Restaurants there were really good, so recommend trying those, despite additional cost. We didn’t get the premium package and were glad we didn’t, it didn’t offer much more at all it seemed like. Other guests with the premium package told us their food actually took longer because it was a separate offer. Overall, amazing stay, definitely get a swim up room!

we went for our honeymoon had a great time with trs cap cana i would recommend my stay any time the other guess were great as well as the service the staff would go out of their way to make sure we were happy and had a good time and be prepared to drink

An pleasant enough stay

First the pros: the staff is wonderful and high energy. They make up for where the property is lacking. Luis and Edwin at the pool bar bring the party. Our butler, Aronni, was incredibly helpful throughout and just a delight to see each day. Manuel and Roberto took care of us for almost every meal and remembered what we ordered and how we liked things. The hostess at the restaurants was also just so high energy and made sure you had a smile. Dinner at Gaucho was very very good. Really enjoyed the marina view from the room. Something so calming about lights on the water at night. Smaller hotel so chairs always available. Easy to chat with other guests. Cons: if you have a down/feather allergy - I would avoid this hotel. They only have down pillows. They did find us some sad pillows left by other guests but it was unsatisfactory for sleep. The breakfast buffet was subpar compared to other all inclusives. Just felt stale and limited. Given that they are in the marina cove, you get the seaweed collecting which means rotting seaweed smell which compared to other resorts in DR is much worse. Also means you miss out on clear blue waters right at the resort (again trade off of the view being more marina) Pool and rooms are a bit dated and could use some TLC - restaurants and lobby bars felt like they have been renovated recently, which was nice.

Disappointing

I don’t even know where to start. A complete disappointment from the start and by far the worst place I have ever been to. NOT a five stars hotel for certain! I was given a king bed room when I purchased a double bed since I took my son for his 30th birthday. The hotel all together was mediocre. The food tasteless. The staff barely understand/speaks English. The WiFi was weak. The service was slow and never what we actually asked for. A 3000 vacation nightmare!
