We chose this The Halifax Marriott Harbour View for the location. The reception we received when we first arrived was friendly, professional, and check in was quick with no problems. Our room was above expectations. We were upgraded from a small king bedroom to a large suite, with a sitting area, and a two sided fireplace, and a whirlpool tub. What a beautiful surprize for my birthday celebration. The restaurants' staff were courteous, friendly, and wonderful at suggesting items on the menu. Hats off to Emma and Jenn (I only wish I could recall the other two waitresses who served us for morning breakfasts) The food was served promptly, hot, and appealing to the eye. Not only was it such as mentioned, everything we had for our four meals was exceptional. I am still craving the enchiladas and the fritters. I was told by another patron, the chowder is the best he had in Nova Scotia, and is a must try. The first night we arrived we thought we would do take away. I was disappointed when we requested take away to bring to our room. I found the items in the boxes unappealing to the eye, as everything was just placed on top of each other in extremely small boxes. For this reason I would recommend that people eat in the restaurants or in the concierge lounge. The selections of various alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverage is very good, and the staff is wonderful. I would recommend this hotel, and its restaurants, and concierge lounge.

I recently stayed at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel and i was very pleased with everything about the hotel. The check was swift and efficient, I was even able to arrange for my daughters check in two days hence. My room was 579 and had a good view of the harbour though the weather was not cooperating. Room 579 was the room that had access to the lounge where smaller portions were offered from the same menu as the restaurant. Dont like the view from your room, well ya get what ya pay for, so when you show ventilation stacks in your comments, thats unfortunate you try to substantiate your disappoint with tactics like that. The room was clean, everything worked, thermostat was easy to control, the tv had a wide variety to choose from and the numerous staff i bumped into were friendly beyond belief. I went to the restaurant one evening after attending the Mooseheads hockey game and the Mexican Chicken soup was a treat and the steak sandwich was done to order. As for breakfast at the lounge, it is the same breakfast you order at the main restaurant....only you dont have to pay for it. As for convenience, there is indoor access to the casino, a short walk to just about anywhere downtown.

My stay at the Marriott Harbourfront in Halifax was mixed. While its location on the boardwalk and being attached to the casino were convenient, the overall experience fell short. The service and amenities did not meet expectations, and there are better options in the area. Unfortunately, I do not plan on returning in the future.

We just spent the weekend here and it was amazing. We were upgraded to water view and was beautiful. The staff are what make this place a step above. From the check in staff to the housecleaning, they were so accommodating and friendly. It may cost a little more than a lot of other hotels around but it is well worth it. We took the pedway to the casino and it was so convenient. You can park your car and enjoy everything with worring about parking. We never made it to the pool this trip but we will definitely be back and try it then. The little coffee shop in the lobby was amazing.

The dining room was closed and we were put in a smaller area with very uncomfortable seats. It was Christmas Day2023 and it was the worst Christmas dinner I have ever had. The turkey was tasteless and the vegetables were over cooked and the gravy had a strange taste. We had to request cranberry sauce and it was very tasteless when it was finally brought to us. We will not be back!
