Confirm that you are entering the promo and coupon codes correctly. One example of a common entry mistake is to enter "0" (zero) instead of the letter "O". If you still receive the same error message, confirm that the promo and coupon codes:
- are not expired as of the day you are booking your reservation
- are available for the travel dates you have selected
- may be used for the origin and destination you have selected
- are applicable to the number of guests you have entered

What happens if I lose my promo or coupon code?
A promo code is a code that entitles the holder to a discount on the purchase of a flight when used with a coupon code (provided the flight meets the terms and conditions of the promotion, e.g., flight routing and dates).
A coupon code is a code used in conjunction with a promo code that applies the amount of the discount to your purchased flight. Coupon codes are required for each guest on a reservation, and the type of code may vary. WestJet has three kinds of coupon codes: single use, multi-use and limited multi-use.
This is a coupon code that can only be used for one guest for one reservation (one way or round trip). Please be sure to confirm your itinerary and all flight details as any change or cancellation to your reservation will result in the loss of the value of the coupon code.
This is a coupon code that allows the discount to be used for multiple guests, multiple flights or both. For example, a multi-use coupon code could be used by one guest for six flights, or six guests for one flight, or six guests for six flights, if that was the way it was created.
This is a coupon code that has specific usage restrictions. For example, if a limited multi-use coupon code states that it is valid for four uses, it may be used for either one guest for four trips, or for one trip for four guests.
Discounts from dollar value coupon and promo codes are based on a round-trip reservation. For example, if you have a promo code that is valid for a maximum discount of $50 (CAD) and book a round-trip flight, you will receive a discount of $25 per direction on your reservation. If you choose to book only a one-way flight, you will only receive $25 for the single direction only.
Promo and coupon code discounts that offer a specific per cent off will have the percentage applied to the base fare of the reservation (round-trip or single direction).
This error message is displayed when a coupon code has already been used, or if you are attempting to apply a single-use coupon code on a reservation for more than one guest.
Yes. The discount cannot be applied using only one of these codes, as each code works with the other to provide your discount.
Promo and coupon codes can only be used when booking new flights on WestJet.com, and can only be used according to the offer outlined for the promo/coupon code. The discount cannot be applied to reservations made through our Sales Super Centre or to bookings previously made on WestJet.com.
Promo and coupon codes cannot be used for travel between December 16 and January 3, February 16 and 21, April 5 and 10 and May 17 and 22.
On the main page of WestJet.com, simply select the cities you are travelling from and to, the flight date(s) and the number of guests. Under the city origin and destination boxes, there is a link titled "Enter promo code and coupon code." Enter the promo and coupon codes in this box. Although these fields are not case sensitive, you may not use any special characters (such as quotation marks or dashes).
If you are still having issues, please contact us.
Once the codes have been entered and the flights have been selected, the fare breakdown will display the discounted amount. The discounted amount will also include the value of the discount received on the goods and services tax (GST). This information will be displayed on the review flights screen.
Yes, you can search flights using your promo code to see the amount of the discount that will be available for any specific reservation. Your promo code will not be used until you apply the payment for a reservation.
If you attempt to use a promo code that has been used already, you will be given a message of either "Coupon has already been used" or "Coupon usage exceeds no. of usages left."
Promo codes must be used on a single reservation and any unused amount cannot be carried over, transferred or otherwise used for another reservation.
All promo codes are distributed with a “book by” date, and expire at 11:59 pm Central Time on that date. We generally issue promo codes and coupon codes with a short “book by” date; however the “travel by” date is generally for several weeks beyond the “book by” date.
Promo and coupon codes are very similar to paper coupons, in that, if they are lost, they are not retrievable.
Promo/coupon codes are valid on new bookings made on westjet.com only and must be entered at the time of booking. This offer is valid on all fares on regularly scheduled flights, but may not be combined with other promo codes/coupon codes or promotional offers. Promo codes/coupon codes have no cash value, are 100% non-refundable and may not be applied on any WestJet Vacations package, group booking or booking where you will be travelling with one of our airline partners. If you're booking for more than one guest, you must enter a coupon code for each of them. If you only have one coupon code, you'll need to book the person using it separately from the other guests. The discount is applicable to the base fare only (taxes, fees and surcharges are extra where applicable).
