Whether it's from the comfort of your own home or your hotel room, check in for your flight online and select your seat as early as 24 hours before your scheduled departure. You can even print your boarding pass or email it to your mobile device.

Starting June 6, 2012, you can use web check-in to choose an earlier flight, add a WestJet ID number to your reservation, or prepay excess baggage fees.

1. your reservation code or WestJet ID number
2. your passport, if you are travelling internationally

When can I check in and select my seat?

You can check in online 24 hours before your flight right up until one hour prior to your scheduled departure.

I'm planning to check a bag. Where should I go once I get to the airport?

Depending on your location and travel destination, web check-in will direct you to either a self-serve bag tagging kiosk or our Bag Drop area, where a WestJet agent will be happy to help you.

I checked in and selected my seat, but I can't print or email my boarding pass. How come?

If you made a special service request, you may need to pick up your boarding pass from a WestJet agent at Guest Assistance. This will help us make sure we meet your unique travel needs.

If you are travelling internationally using an entrance document in addition to your passport (e.g. a Visa), you'll need to pick up your boarding pass from a WestJet agent at Guest Assistance.

Why can't I check in?

Unaccompanied minors, guests travelling with a personal oxygen cylinder, guests who have purchased an extra seat and guests travelling in a group of more than nine guests with the same last name must check in with a WestJet agent at Guest Assistance.

I have prepaid my baggage fees. Why do I need to print or email my receipt?

To help get you on your way as quickly and smoothly as possible, have your receipt available to show the WestJet agent at Bag Drop and away you go!
