If you are looking for a little more help on how to book a flight with us, you've come to the right place. Here are some commonly asked questions we receive about booking a flight online with WestJet.
Westjet Flights
To book a flight online:
- Go to WestJet.com
- Enter where you are flying from (origin)
- Enter where you want to fly to (destination)
- Enter the number of adults, children or infants in your group
- Enter the date you’d like to go
- Enter the date you’d like to return (optional)
- Press Get flights
- Choose from available fares
- Include details for each guest in your group
- Choose to select seats or add bags
- Add extras like travel insurance or car rentals
- Review your booking before payment
- Apply up to two forms of accepted online payment options to pay for your booking
- Review your itinerary online or when you receive your confirmation receipt by email
Once you’re booked, you can manage your trip online: add / upgrade your seats, pre-pay for checked bags, review your trip details, or change and cancel your flight.
Other ways to book flights online with WestJet:
No, you don’t need an account to book or manage a flight with WestJet. You can manage flights booked in Manage trips by using your reservation code and last name.

You will receive a confirmation receipt at the email address provided during booking with all of your trip details. You can manage your trip with the reservation code in the confirmation.
If you did not receive a confirmation receipt, you can contact us for help.
You can book up to 6 seats in a single online reservation. If you have 7 to 9 guests travelling, you can complete two separate reservations with up to 6 guests on the first reservation and the remaining guests on the second reservation. For groups of 10 or more please request a quote by submitting our group flights-only booking form. Group reservations are available on WestJet and WestJet Encore operated flights only. Code-share and interline flights through our partner airlines do not qualify.

You can pay for your flight online with WestJet points, Travel Bank credits, WestJet gift card, WestJet RBC Mastercards, credit card or digital wallet, or Flex Pay's monthly installment payments.
WestJet points can be used on new bookings like cash to pay for all or part of an eligible flight. When redeeming towards the entire base fare and surcharges (other Air Transportation Charges), WestJet points can be applied to cover 50% or 100% of the ticket’s taxes, fees and charges. WestJet Vacations
You can book a vacation with WestJet Vacations if you know where you want to go or you can use our Vacation finder.
You can also book a holiday by contacting us or through a travel agent.
No, you don’t need an account to book a vacation with WestJet. Manage your vacation online by using your booking number, departure date and last name.

Our website displays only packages that are available at the time of your search. However, we do not display the number of packages that are available.
You can book up to six (6) guests in a single online reservation. Seven (7) or more guests can be booked on one reservation by contacting WestJet Vacations. For groups that require 10 or more rooms, contact the WestJet Vacations Group Desk at 1-877-495-8747, as additional services are available for these types of reservations.
At this time, only one departure and one arrival city may be selected for WestJet Vacations packages booked through our website. We can assist with multiple city bookings, please call us at 1-877-737-7001.
Because this system works in real time, availability can change between the time you check the availability of a package and the time you go to reserve the package. Vacations are constantly being sold, making availability change as well.
We require payment at the time the booking is made. If you do not have a payment card, you can book your vacation with a travel agent.
You can pay for your vacation online, through our contact centre or with your travel agent. We accept American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Visa Debit, WestJet gift cards and WestJet Vacations future travel credits (FTC).
WestJet points can also be used on new bookings like cash to pay for all or part of an eligible vacation package or land-only booking. Minimum redemption rules apply. Learn more about redeeming WestJet points.
At this time, Travel Bank credits cannot be accepted for payment on a WestJet Vacations booking.
WestJet utilizes a ticketless reservation system. You do not require a paper ticket for your flight. In most cases, vouchers or tickets are not required to redeem for hotel, car, activities or services. A piece of photo identification is enough to redeem vacation services. You will be notified if a voucher is required for any part of your vacation.
