We stayed at this resort from 12/24/25–1/3/26. The property itself is attractive and nicely laid out—but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The rooms are clean but in need of updating. The biggest and most persistent issue during our stay was the constant shortage of towels. When you are told at check-in that your room is “ready,” you would reasonably expect bath towels to be in the bathroom. That was often not the case—and this problem continued throughout our entire stay. It’s difficult to understand how a room can be considered ready without towels. Housekeeping would clean the room, remove all towels (even those hanging up), and not replace them. Even after having a direct conversation with the housekeeping manager, the issue was never resolved. Toward the end of our stay, we had to keep a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door just to ensure we had towels available. We booked oceanfront rooms with private plunge pools. One would expect at least two beach towels in the room so bath towels wouldn’t need to be used—but beach towels were also in short supply. Getting a beach towel became a daily struggle: either the attendant was not present, or there were no towels available. We specifically chose this resort because it is not all-inclusive. However, the limited food options were disappointing. The on-site coffee shop did not open until 9:00 a.m. or later, which makes little sense for guests who want something light instead of a full buffet breakfast. Even more puzzling, basic baked goods like muffins or rolls were not available until 11:00 a.m. The one time we dined at the on-site restaurant, service took over three hours, and the food was served barely warm. The only consistently pleasant experience was the beachfront café, but it closes at 5:00 p.m. Overall, while the resort has potential, ongoing operational issues—especially towel shortages and poor service—significantly detracted from our stay.

Run down and dirty rooms with dangers like noticeably broken ceiling fan blade, broken plug outlets with wires hanging out, scorpion on floor, mold on bathroom walls/ceilings and bed frames, mildew stained curtains and mattresses, badly stained couches, decks unusable as they are covered in bird feces and peeling paint. Broken toilet seat and constant smell of septic coming up from the drains. Both of our guest room floors were filthy (wiped the floor with a towel and it was covered in black dirt), plus the kitchen stove tops did not work and there are no dishes or utensil in units so the kitchenettes were useless. Showed all of these issues to the Manager and requested our rooms be changed but she said hotel was full. We had to pre-pay our stay and it was high season so all other hotels were booked up. We had no choice but to stay. Other issues included having to wait 2 hours after check in time to get in to our room (we had called ahead to confirm our room was ready and told by reception that it was - but it wasn't!). Restaurant buffet food is expensive and inedible - even if you are starving. We ate out every meal. Pool towels often unavailable and good luck getting a beach lounger as there are not enough to serve all guests and the few available get 'reserved'. There were only 2 staff servicing the pool and beach during xmas/NY so good luck getting a drink or water. Property is not maintained and the facilities have dirty washrooms, overflowing garbages, bird droppings on walls and walking surfaces along with fallen leaves that never get swept up. There is a bar by the beach pool but it remained closed during our stay. This is the best location within all of the resort and could be amazing. Open a craft cocktail bar using local ingredients with fresh catch beach snacks and make it an adult only area. The Starbucks onsite opens at 9am so if you need coffee before then there is only the buffet restaurant that will charge you big for a bad cup of watered down drip coffee. The resort has so much potential and could be 5 star. But giving it 2 stars is generous. We regret staying here and would not recommend it to anyone. Nice quiet private beach but that is it. No discount would make staying here worth it - not even a free trip! Just buy the day pass to use the beach and bring your own food and drinks and stay elsewhere. The resort needs a major renovation or a bulldozer and better Management with attention to detail, safety, and cleanliness.
