Overview
Guests can relax as lush gardens, warm breezes and sunny skies beckon. Six brightly coloured “villages” – each named after a Caribbean island – capture the alluring ambiance of the tropics. The island playground features seven pools and pristine white-sand beaches on the shores of beautiful 45-acre Barefoot Bay.

I was nervous to stay here because the reviews seem very mixed, but our family had a fabulous time at CBR! I did request a newly refurbished room in Trinidad and we loved the layout and character of our room! Our view overlooked the water and the skyliner hub. The grounds here are so beautiful and calming; it feels established and grounded (which makes sense because this is the oldest moderate resort I believe). Literally the only reason you need to stay here is that skyliner HUB access. An absolute dream to get places without transferring. Nothing was too far for us and we were in probably the farthest neighborhood. We drove several times to the lobby/pool but the walk was about 7 minutes. Theres no reason to walk farther than that—the skyliner can drop you off at the riviera if you want to go there (although that walk was not bad either if you wanted to do it). The pool was so fun—our kids couldnt get enough. We loved watching the Epcot fireworks from the pool at night, although dont expect them to pump in the music. There were plenty of food options and my husband loved the access to a full Joffreys stand at the Skyliner hub! If I had to mention any negatives, Id say the room couldve been cleaner (dust on several surfaces that shouldve been checked). The ac units seem to be old and maybe have leaked in the past? We didnt have any issues with it but noticed like almost a drip pan underneath it?
Fab family stay

We had a fab stay at the Caribbean Beach resort. There was 5 of us, 2 adults and a 15, 12 and 10 year old. I was worried the room was going to be really small but we managed fine. Could do with more storage but we just lived out suitcases. My 10 year old fit fine on the pull down bed. The mattresses were so comfortable!! We stayed in Martinique. The location was ideal for the main swimming pool, buses and skyliner. Yes the resort is big but it really is a lovely resort. My only negative would be, considering the size of the hotel, they don't have a room or changing room you can use for a shower or to get changed after you check out before your flight.
