More Disney Magic... Mostly.

Fantastic visit compared to any other non-Disney hotel - but they need to be careful to not slip too far away from the Disney Standard. Most staff were outgoing and friendly and most of the building and grounds were clean and beautiful. There were a few glaring misses on the basics though and I'll name them only in hopes that management will read this: 1. super long line at checkout and one poor cast member working her best before another casually saunters up like he didn't miss anything; 2. replace the burned out lightbulbs on building and fix falling recessed light fixtures; 3. clean hallway carpet and repair elevators in Garden Wing; 4. fix leaks in atrium ceiling; and 5. power wash the filthy exterior windows, sills, and ceiling glass!
Contemporary is an iNCREDIBLE experience...

The Contemporary Resort hotel is a great match for your visit to the Magic Kingdom and other Disney Resorts. I'll just list my top 5 things about this place. 1. LOCATION! I mean its neighboring the MAGIC Kingdom by a 15 min walk... or take the Monorail... which is ONE stop way right into the 4th floor of the A-DECK tower. 2. Chef Mickey Character BReakfast/Brunch... the Kids will love the food... and all of a sudden MICKEY or DONALD DUCK pop in behind you... even the ADults can be seen enjoying those moments... living out childhood dreams... even I couldnt not pass up a selfie with GOOFY! 3. the BEDS... I was in the GARDEN WING 3rd floor... and those queen beds were comfy to say the least... I slept great both nights. I'm a morning person....4am wakeup and my body just stayed in bed. Gotta love a room with great beds. 4. Transportation service to all the adjacent Resorts and Disney Spots. For example... 15 min ride to DISNEY SPRINGS.. and the busses rotate every 20 mins...so you never have a long wait. 5... the THREE pool locations available.... all within sight of each other so you dont have to walk around the hotel grounds for them.
Sip, Savor and very much Sparkle
Kirsty H (Dunstable, United Kingdom) on May 27, 2025
We were fortunate to attend the Sip, Savor and Sparkle event at the Contemporary and we were not disappointed. Having watched a few vlogs we knew what to expect and it pretty much hit the expectations. The food was good and plentiful - remembering that the food was more more hors d'oeuvre's but we didn't leave hungry. The sparkle was a private balcony (slightly behind the restaurant balcony but this didn't impact the view of the fireworks) but the real sparkle of the night were the "Banquet Boys" also known as Abdallah, Khalid and Majid. These 3 gentleman were the ones that attended to the "Sip". Given how many people were at the event (a guess I would say 75 ish) the way they managed to accommodate everyone at the "free" bar was impressive. As a result of their hospitality, I nursed a very substantial hangover the next morning! Was a great night, but one definitely made more memorable as a result of these guys! Thanks Banquet Boys - you were stars!
Disappointing Family Stay
Terri-AnnC (London, United Kingdom) on May 15, 2025
We stayed here as a family of 10 across 3 rooms, having visited disney a number of times we decided to splurge as this trip was for a special birthday we was extremely disappointed the hotel is busy from people visiting so there is no where you can sit and have a drink or even grab breakfast as they do not stop anyone visiting the hotel, the monorail has to completely lap the whole lake before arriving at magic kingdom so is still just as packed, the pool was a complete let down also the bar and food shuts early so you cannot even enjoy an evening drink/cool off. The year before this we stayed at the swan/dolphin and could of holidayed there twice for what this cost us we would not waste our money again we thought it was completely over priced and disappointing.
Great location, great beds/pillows, but price hard to swallow

The best part is the proximity to Magic Kingdom--10 minute walk. As someone prone to back/neck issues, I found the mattresses and pillows perfect. Also, we felt comfortable walking barefoot on the carpet. And the carpet padding was thick, which felt good on our sore feet from walking the parks. The beverage cooler isn't a refrigerator--it wont keep food safe, as it doesn't go below 40 degrees. There is no microwave, so you can't heat anything up. Aside from that, it's just a standard hotel room. The staff was very friendly. Since we only stayed 2 nights, we left the Room Occupied sign on the door since we didnt need housekeeping service. But, there were only 4 tissues left in the tissue box container, so we did without , although we could have requested more, I'm sure. The food options at the hotel restaurants were minimal and most of them didn't look too healthy and/or seemed over priced, so we ate at the parks (not that the food was any healthier, but there were more options at lower prices and we could eat when we wanted). There was a bag in the closet labeled "extra blanket and pillow"; however, it seemed to be locked. So I was a little cold. When we walked into the lobby upon check Iin, we were immediately greeted by staff who checked us in ( our room wasn't ready yet) and gave us all of the info we needed and asked for and got us set up on how to go directly to our park of choice. We stayed in the garden wing so had to walk a ways to get to the path to Magic Kingdom. Overall, the location to Magic Kingdom was awesome and the transportation to all 4 parks was great. I had always wanted to stay at the Contempirary since I was a little kid. But, it was really hard to justify the $650'ish per night just because we wanted to walk there.
