We had rooms 4648 and 4647 which had wonderful view of the Disney fireworks each night from our balcony. The front desk staff were informative and helpful getting our magic watches to work. The magic watches are really good for Disney World Parks, but really have no additional value beyond that. The watches are cumbersome, do not tell time, hard to charge, and have limited usability! The room was clean, spacious, and in good repair. With the window open we could hear the maintenance at night doing their magic so that we did not see them during the day. Otherwise, the rooms were quiet. The tram runs through the resort and the bus system is right out the door so that you do not need a car while in this location. We stayed here 30 years ago and this is the most centralized hotel in the park.

Overall a very good hotel that gets most things right. Clean, safe and location. Some highlights include the California Grill and the travel options by walking, bus or Monorail to the Disney attractions. Crowds, yes, but it is Disney.

We booked our room through a blind deal and were excited to be staying in. this iconic hotel. We were not surprised to have our room in the Garden wing, since we had cheaper rate. The room was great, large with a couch and dining table, separate bar area with the mini frig, large bathroom and lots of storage. The theming was totally consistent with The incredibles and a futuristic look. It was a very short walk to the main building for the monorail stop, dining and shops and the small parking lot was right outside the hotel door. We quickly realized that our room was in the best spot. While it had all the theming and amenities of the hotel, it was very quiet. There is quite a lot of noise and activity in the atrium of the main building, so we felt like the garden wing was ideal. Resort buses are readily available and of course the monorail stop is inside the hotel. It is a quick monorail trip to the Magic Kingdom, but even better it is a short walk. The walking entrance from the hotel has its own security, so there is no line and it puts you right inside the park just past where the resort buses stop. While it is hardly inexpensive, it is a great hotel with an incredible location.

I am over the Disney bubble. The Contemporary hotel lacks the quality of service, upkeep, and food quality of other hotels in the same price range outside the Disney bubble. No bell hop service upon arrival, long wait to check in, angry bartenders that were upset they had to make a drink, subpar brunch buffet food for the price, and no food available anywhere after 11pm. I was actually told by the front desk to order Domino's. Disney... Do better.

Favorite Disney resort. Walkable to magic kingdom. Has great food options! Love the stores. Good view of the fireworks
