Luxury at the Airport!
Kruzngrlz (Florida) on Jul 12, 2025
We stayed here because of a 6am flight and we needed to be close to the airport. Luxurious older hotel and outrageously expensive however the service and food were good and the rooms were totally soundproof. Literally walked out of the hotel to the airline checkin desk. We would stay here again.
Planes and telescope in luxury
Clive W (London, United Kingdom) on Jul 01, 2025
My wife and I stayed here for one night before returning to UK. We opted for the gold executive lounge floor, on the 14th floor, as a treat. This included access to the lounge. We were able to check in an hour early and shown to the lifts. The room was spacious with airport views and a telescope. We did not hear the noise of the planes. We really enjoyed watching the planes landing and sometimes taking off. The bathroom was an irregular hexagonal shape, with a separate toilet. There was a walk-in shower, spa bath, many towels and rose toiletries. There was a desk and chair, easy chair, fridge, Nespresso coffee machine. There were multiple lights and controls. In the lounge early afternoon, cookies, nut mix, crackers, olives and sun-dried tomatoes were available. From 1700, hors d’oeuvre included spring rolls, aubergine “stew”, cooked chicken, various cold salads, cheeses and meats. An honesty bar operated where one was expected to declare what drinks one had consumed. A glass of wine was $18. At 2000 desserts were served. There was a choice of 3. 2 were similar in that they were filled with confectioner’s cream and the third was chocolate. A deluxe breakfast was served after 6am (continental from 4am). There was a selection of cooked foods, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, bread and cold food e.g. smoked salmon. The hot foods were lukewarm, at best. It was an excellent selection which we enjoyed. It was extremely easy to get to the airport, We had a great time and definitely felt we had a treat! The only downside was the presence of young children in the lounge, at times running and shouting, and even handling the food with the fingers instead of using the tongs provided.
