We know flight changes can be unexpected. Depending on your booking, you may be able to make changes online, or we’ll advise when it’s best to contact us.

Change or cancel your flight online

You may be able to change or cancel your flight online depending on your booking. To check your eligibility, please review the updated flight information sent to your email or visit Manage Trips.

Cancelling your flight

Once your cancellation is processed, you’ll receive a confirmation email and may be eligible for a full refund for any unused portions of your ticket

What to do if you can’t change or cancel your flight online

If you have tried to change or cancel your flights and are unable to self-serve, you can chat with us online or call for help.   

Before changing your flight:

To help us serve you faster, please have ready: 

  1. The new flight you'd like to switch to. You can see available options through Book a flight
  2. Your six-character reservation code. If you don’t know it, you can find it through retrieve itinerary
  3. The name of the guest(s) on your reservation.  
  4. Email address linked to the booking. 

Cancelling your flight

Once your cancellation is processed, you’ll receive a confirmation email and may be eligible for a full refund for any unused portions of your ticket. 

Third-party bookings

If your booking was made through a travel agent, online booking agency, or corporate travel arranger, please contact them directly. If you are unable to reach them, one of our agents will be happy to assist. 

Chat with a live agent

  • Our live chat agents are available to help make changes to your itinerary seven days a week.
  • You will need to call us directly if you are requesting additional changes such as: upgrading to a different cabin, special seating, need an extra seat, medical accommodation or have a service animal.

Hours of operation:

  • English: 6 a.m. MT – 8 p.m. MT
  • French: 6 a.m. MT – 6 p.m MT
  • Japanese and Korean: 6 a.m. MT – 10 p.m. MT

Before you start the chat:

  • If you choose to close the chat panel or your browser, you will have to start over to establish your place at the back of the queue.

How to manage a disrupted vacation package 

WestJet Vacations bookings

When to contact us: 

  • Your disrupted flight(s) were booked as part of a WestJet Vacations package; as we will need to update your hotel and ground transportation. 
  • Your updated flight(s) have you arriving past your original arrival date.

Cancelling your booking 

You can cancel your WestJet Vacations booking through Manage My Vacations.  

If you cancel your booking, the air portion will be refunded to the original form of payment. Please refer to your travel insurance for additional coverage. 

Sunwing Vacations & Vacances WestJet Quebec bookings   

If your disrupted flight is part of a Sunwing Vacations or Vacances WestJet Quebec package, please contact them directly to make changes or to cancel your trip.
