1. To benefit from this offer, your application must be received and approved by Royal Bank of Canada (“Royal Bank”) between November 5, 2025 and February 4, 2026 (“Offer Period”). This offer only applies to new applications for a WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard.
You will receive up to 30,000 welcome WestJet points upon your first purchase (“Welcome WestJet Points”) distributed as follows:
- 25, 000 Welcome WestJet Points up to six (6) weeks after your first purchase transaction date; and
- 5,000 Welcome WestJet Points up to twelve (12) weeks after your first purchase transaction date, provided your first purchase gets posted to your WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard credit card account (“Credit Card Account”) within the first three (3) months of your Credit Card Account opening date (“Period”).
You will receive an additional 30,000 WestJet points (“Additional WestJet Points”) provided a total of $5,000 (“Qualifying Transaction Amount”) or more in qualifying net purchases and/or pre-authorized bill payment transactions (“Qualifying Transaction(s)”) are posted to your Credit Card Account within the Period. The Additional WestJet Points will be awarded approximately six (6) weeks after the date you reach the Qualifying Transaction Amount. Qualifying Transactions exclude cash advances (including balance transfers, cash-like transactions and bill payments that are not pre-authorized charges that you set up with a merchant), interest charges and fees, and credits for returns and adjustments posted to your Credit Card Account during the Period will reduce the amount of your Qualifying Transactions.
The transaction posting date of each Qualifying Transaction, not the transaction date, will determine whether the transaction will count towards the Qualifying Transaction Amount. This means that Qualifying Transactions that take place prior to the last day of the Period will not count towards the Qualifying Transaction Amount if they have not yet been posted or processed by the merchant, the payment network (Mastercard) or Royal Bank by the last day of the Period.
You will receive an additional 10,000 WestJet points (“Anniversary WestJet Points”) up to sixteen (16) weeks after your Credit Card Account has been open for one (1) year.
Welcome WestJet Points, Additional WestJet Points and Anniversary WestJet Points will be awarded to your WestJet Rewards account, accessible at westjet.com/account, and appear on your monthly credit card statement, provided your Credit Card Account is open and in good standing at the time they are awarded to your WestJet Rewards account, “good standing” meaning that your Credit Card Account must not be past due for more than two (2) consecutive Credit Card Account statement periods, closed, charged off or in credit revoked status at that time.
Only the primary cardholder on the Credit Card Account is eligible for this offer. Additional cardholders(s) (co-applicant and authorized user(s)), as well as existing cardholders on any RBC Royal Bank personal credit card account, transferring to a WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard during the Offer Period, are not eligible for this offer.
If you close your Credit Card Account or change it for another type of RBC Royal Bank credit card before the Welcome WestJet points, Additional Welcome WestJet points or the Anniversary WestJet points have been awarded to your WestJet Rewards account, you may not receive the points. This offer may not be combined or used in conjunction with any other offer. Royal Bank and WestJet reserve the right to modify, cancel or withdraw this offer at any time without notice, even after your application has been approved, including if we suspect that you may be manipulating or abusing it, or engaging in any suspicious or fraudulent activity, as determined by us in our sole discretion.
2. As the primary cardholder with a WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard (“Eligible Primary Cardholders”), once approved for the WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard, please allow 4-6 weeks from the transaction date of your first purchase for the World Elite companion voucher (“Welcome World Elite Companion Voucher”) to appear on your WestJet Rewards account, accessible at westjet.com/account. The Welcome World Elite Companion Voucher is available to new Eligible Primary Cardholders only. Existing or former Eligible Primary Cardholders, applying for or transferring to a WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard, as well as additional cardholders (co-applicant and authorized users), are not eligible for the Welcome World Elite Companion Voucher.
Twelve (12) months following the opening of your WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard credit card account and annually thereafter, you will receive a round-trip World Elite companion voucher (“Annual World Elite Companion Voucher”) if a minimum of $5,000 in net purchases (less credits and refunds, and excluding cash advances, cash-like transactions, interest charges, fees, credit or debit adjustments)(“Minimum Annual Spend”) is posted to your credit card account in the 12-month period following the issuance of your previous World Elite companion voucher (“Voucher Earn Year”). If the Minimum Annual Spend is met in a given Voucher Earn Year, the Annual World Elite Companion Voucher will be awarded 4-6 weeks after the WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard annual fee for that year is charged.
For new Eligible Primary Cardholders as of November 5th, 2025, onwards: the Minimal Annual Spend will be tracked following the issuance of the Welcome World Elite Companion Voucher for the subsequent Voucher Earn Year.
For existing Eligible Primary Cardholders prior to November 5, 2025: the Minimal Annual Spend will be tracked following the issuance of the Annual World Elite Companion Voucher on or after November 5, 2025 for the subsequent Voucher Earn Year.
For an Eligible Primary Cardholder to receive a companion voucher, their WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard credit card account must be open and in good standing at the time the Annual World Elite Companion Voucher is awarded. Terms and conditions for the Annual World Elite Companion Voucher, Minimum Annual Spend and Voucher Earn Year are established by WestJet, not Royal Bank of Canada, and WestJet reserves the right to cancel, modify or withdraw this benefit at any time. For complete details, visit westjet.com/companion-voucher.
Each companion voucher can be redeemed by an Eligible Primary Cardholder for: (i) one (1) round-trip flight for $119 for UltraBasic, Econo and EconoFlex fares (“Economy Fares”) for travel in Canada or the continental United States or one (1) round-trip flight for $219 for Premium and PremiumFlex fares (“Premium Fares”); or (ii) one (1) round-trip flight to/from the rest of the WestJet network for $399 for Economy Fares or for $499 for Premium Fares. Any additional taxes, fees, charges and ATC (Air Transportation Charges) applicable to the ticket must be paid at time of booking. Unless otherwise stated, companion voucher fees are quoted in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are quoted for flights originating in Canada. Companion voucher bookings originating outside of Canada will be in the currency of the departure country. Visit westjet.com/companion-voucher for complete details. Additional fees may apply for bookings made via the Contact Centre.
A companion voucher may only be used: (i) for all published and eligible Economy Fares and Premium Fares wholly marketed and operated by WestJet; (ii) if the companion is travelling with you on the same itinerary; and (iii) for new bookings made through westjet.com or WestJet’s Contact Centre. A World Elite companion voucher cannot be: (i) used for Business, BusinessFlex or Member Exclusive fares; (ii) applied to existing reservations; or (iii) used for group bookings, WestJet Vacations, WestJet Vacations Quebec or Sunwing Vacations bookings. Other terms and conditions apply. Visit westjet.com/companion-voucher for complete details.
Terms and conditions for the companion voucher are established by WestJet, not Royal Bank of Canada. WestJet reserves the right to cancel, modify or withdraw these benefits at any time. Terms and conditions of these benefits are subject to the WestJet Rewards Program Terms and Conditions at the time of exchange. WestJet, not Royal Bank of Canada, is solely responsible for the terms of the WestJet Rewards Program. For complete details, visit westjet.com/companion-voucher.
3. Primary cardholders with a WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard or WestJet RBC Mastercard (“Eligible Primary Cardholders”) may exchange each valid companion voucher for a discount code, for one-time use off the base fare, for one traveler, for a WestJet flight throughout the WestJet network. All requests to exchange a companion voucher for a discount code can be made by logging in to your WestJet Rewards account, accessible at westjet.com/account or in the mobile app, prior to the expiry of the companion voucher. Once an Eligible Primary Cardholder exchanges their companion voucher for a discount code, an email will be sent to them within 24 hours and the discount code will be displayed in the “other” section of their account immediately.
- Receive a discount, for one traveler, for one-time use, off the base fare of a WestJet-operated flight.
- Discount codes are valid for new bookings only and cannot be applied to existing reservations.
- 30-day advance purchase is required.
- The discount is applied to the base fare of the flight and does not include a discount off the taxes, fees, or other charges. Discount amount is specified in the email sent.
- Discount can be used for a one-way, round-trip or multi-city booking for one traveler.
- The discount codes have an expiry date of 60-90 days after date of issue. The discount code is valid for bookings until the end of the month, two months after the month in which the code is exchanged. For example, if a companion voucher is exchanged for a discount code on February 17th, the discount code will be valid for bookings until April 30th. Travel can take place up to the end of the flight schedule.
- Valid for use on UltraBasic, Econo and EconoFlex fares only. (excludes Premium, PremiumFlex, Business and BusinessFlex)
- No blackout dates for flights within Canada. For travel outside of Canada blackout dates may apply.
- The discount code cannot be combined with other discount codes, companion vouchers, Member Exclusive Fares or used on WestJet Vacations packages.
- Flight Eligibility: Discount codes are valid only on flights marketed and operated by WestJet, not on code-share or interline flights with other airlines
- Only one discount code may be used per booking
- No cash value. Non-refundable
- Once an Eligible Primary Cardholder has requested an exchange of a companion voucher for a discount code, the request will be considered final and cannot be cancelled or reversed.
Any changes or cancellations to discount code bookings must be made online or by calling 1-888-937-8538. If the booking is changed or cancelled after the discount code expiry date, the discount will no longer apply.
4. Primary cardholders with a WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard (“Eligible Primary Cardholders”) may exchange each valid World Elite companion voucher for a $200 WestJet Vacations or Sunwing Vacations future travel credit (“FTC”). All requests to exchange a World Elite companion voucher for a WestJet Vacations or Sunwing Vacations FTC can be made by logging in to your WestJet Rewards account, accessible at westjet.com/account or in the mobile app.
All requests to exchange a World Elite companion voucher for a WestJet Vacations or Sunwing Vacations FTC must be exchanged in your WestJet Rewards account prior to the World Elite companion voucher expiry date. Eligible Primary Cardholders will be able to view the FTC and the expiry date(s) of the FTC in the email sent within 24 hours of the exchange. Sunwing Vacations and WestJet Vacations FTC will have the same expiry date as the World Elite companion voucher used for the exchange, which means a booking must be made prior to the expiry date and travel is allowed till the end of the flight schedule.
Once an Eligible Primary Cardholder has requested an exchange of a World Elite companion voucher for a FTC, the request will be considered final and cannot be cancelled or reversed. FTCs can be applied towards the full value of the booking, including taxes and fees on a WestJet-operated flight. Any remaining value on the FTC after the expiry date will be forfeited. The FTC may be used toward more than one new booking so long as it is valid, the person named on the FTC is travelling and until such time the value of the FTC is drawn down to zero. This FTC holds no cash value, is non-transferable, and is not valid toward group travel bookings.
5. Primary cardholders with a WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard (“Eligible Primary Cardholders”) may exchange each valid World Elite companion voucher for two (2) one-time use lounge access vouchers at WestJet partner airport lounges (“Lounge Vouchers”). Additional cardholders(s) (co-applicant and authorized user(s)) on the WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard credit card account are not eligible for the Lounge Vouchers. All requests to exchange a World Elite companion voucher for Lounge Vouchers must be exchanged in your WestJet Rewards account, and used as a lounge voucher prior to the expiry. Eligible Primary Cardholders will be able to view the Lounge Vouchers and their expiry date(s) within the Vouchers section of their WestJet Rewards account. Lounge Vouchers will have the same expiry date as the World Elite companion voucher used for the exchange. If you have multiple World Elite companion vouchers, the first to expire will be the first one exchanged. Sign in to see available vouchers at westjet.com. If a Lounge Voucher expires after an Eligible Primary Cardholder has exchanged a World Elite companion voucher but before the Lounge Voucher has been redeemed, the Lounge Voucher will not be valid. Once an Eligible Primary Cardholder has requested an exchange of a World Elite companion voucher for (2) Lounge Vouchers, the request will be considered final and cannot be cancelled or reversed.
Lounge Vouchers may be used by the Eligible Primary Cardholder and their accompanied guests. Guests/companions may only use Lounge Vouchers when accompanied by the Eligible Primary Cardholder and taking a same-day WestJet flight from the same airport. If the Eligible Primary Cardholder already has access to WestJet partner lounges through Platinum, Gold or Silver status, Lounge Vouchers may be used for additional guests/companions accompanying them. Lounge Vouchers are valid at WestJet partner airport lounges only, up to three hours before flight departure. Visit westjet.com/lounges for a current list of lounges. A valid boarding pass displaying the Eligible Primary Cardholder’s WestJet Rewards ID and a WestJet flight number for a departing flight must be presented at time of lounge entry: a printed voucher is not required for redemption. Lounge Vouchers are valid when travelling on WestJet-marketed flights only (identified by a WS carrier code preceding the flight number); not valid when travelling on partner-marketed itineraries.
Lounge Vouchers may only be used as described, have no monetary or other exchange value and are non-transferable. Unused World Elite companion vouchers and Lounge Vouchers will automatically be cancelled on the date your WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard account is closed. Royal Bank of Canada and WestJet reserve the right to modify, cancel or withdraw this offer at any time, even after acceptance by you. Terms and conditions of the Lounge Voucher are established by WestJet and WestJet reserves the right to change or withdraw this offer at any time. For full details on Lounge Voucher visit westjet.com/loungevoucher.
6. Earn (i) 2 WestJet points per $1 spent on eligible WestJet flights, WestJet Vacations packages and Sunwing Vacations packages (“Eligible Travel”), and (ii) 1.5 WestJet points per $1 spent on all other purchases when you pay with your WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard. The additional 0.5 WestJet point you earn per $1 spent on Eligible Travel (a) is in addition to the 1.5 WestJet points per $1 you earn on all other purchases and is calculated separately, and (b) will only be awarded if WestJet, WestJet Vacations or Sunwing Vacations appears as the merchant on your monthly credit card statement. This means that if you purchase Eligible Travel from a travel agency or a third-party booking site, you may not be eligible for the additional 0.5 WestJet point per $1, and in no event will Royal Bank of Canada be liable or responsible for any claims should this happen. WestJet points are earned on net purchases only; they are not earned on cash advances (including balance transfers, cash-like transactions and bill payments that are not pre-authorized charges that you set up with a merchant), interest charges or fees, and credits for returns and adjustments will reduce or cancel the WestJet points earned by the amounts originally charged.
7. Earn (i) 2 WestJet points per $1 spent on eligible purchases in the following categories: Grocery Stores and Supermarkets, Gas, Electric Vehicle Charging, and Public Transit including Rideshare (“Eligible Purchases”) made from merchants that are classified by the following eligible Mastercard’s Merchant Category Codes (“Eligible MCCs”), and (ii) 1.5 WestJet points per $1 spent on all other purchases when you pay with your WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard.
Eligible MCCs:
Grocery Stores and Supermarkets MCCs
- 5411 Grocery Stores and Supermarkets Gas, Electric Vehicle
Gas, Charging, Public Transit (including Rideshare) MCCs
- 5541 Service Stations (With or without Ancillary Services)
- 5542 Automated Fuel Dispensers
- 5552 Electric Vehicle Charging
- 4121 Taxicabs and Limousines
- 4111 Transportation: Suburban and Local Commuter Passenger, including Ferries
The additional 0.5 WestJet point you earn per $1 spent on Eligible Purchases (i) is in addition to the 1.5 WestJet points per $1 you earn on all other purchases and are calculated separately, and (ii) will only be awarded on Eligible Purchases made from merchants that are classified by an Eligible MCC. As an example, this means that even though a merchant may sell groceries, a purchase made at this merchant may not necessarily qualify for the additional 0.5 WestJet points per $1 if the merchant is not classified by an Eligible MCC. Also, a merchant that is not classified by an Eligible MCC may be located on the premises of another vendor that is classified by an Eligible MCC, and Eligible Purchases made from this merchant may not qualify for the additional 0.5 WestJet points per $1.
Royal Bank of Canada (“Royal Bank”) cannot guarantee whether a merchant is classified by an Eligible MCC and in no event will Royal Bank be liable or responsible for any claims with respect to Eligible Purchases made from a merchant that is not classified by an Eligible MCC. Royal Bank and WestJet reserve the right to cancel, modify or withdraw this benefit at any time.
8. The Free First Checked Bag benefit is available to the primary cardholders of a WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard (“Eligible Primary Cardholders”) and up to eight (8) additional guests travelling on the same reservation, provided that (i) the ticket purchase (original and/or exchange) is paid for with a WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard (“Eligible Card”); and (ii) the Eligible Cardholder’s 9-digit WestJet Rewards ID appears on the reservation at the time of check-in.
The Free First Checked Bag benefit will apply if a booking is made entirely (or partially, in combination with an Eligible Card) using any of the following (or any combination of the following), as long as the Eligible Primary Cardholder’s WestJet Rewards ID appears on the reservation at the time of check-in: (a) redemption of WestJet points; (b) Travel Bank; or (c) WestJet gift card. “WestJet” or “WestJet Vacations” must appear as the merchant of record for the form of payment. This means that a WestJet flight or a WestJet Vacations package purchased from a travel agency, Visa Checkout or a third-party booking site, may not be eligible for the First Free Checked Bag benefit.
The Free First Checked Bag benefit will be cancelled if the account associated with the Eligible Card is closed for any reason. Guests with reservations booked prior to becoming an Eligible Primary Cardholder are eligible for the Free First Checked Bag benefit, as long as the Eligible Primary Cardholder’s WestJet Rewards ID is added to the reservation prior to check-in.
The Free First Checked Bag benefit is valid only on itineraries marketed and wholly operated by WestJet. The Free First Checked Bag benefit is not valid (i) for companions when travelling on a group booking (10+ guests on the same reservation); (ii) on WestJet Vacations Quebec or Sunwing Vacations bookings; or (iii) when travelling with WestJet's codeshare or interline partners.
Size and weight of baggage must comply with WestJet’s standard checked baggage allowance. Any piece of baggage exceeding the size or weight allowance is subject to all applicable oversized weight and size restrictions and fees.
Complete details are available at www.westjet.com/fees. This benefit may only be used as described and has no monetary or other exchange value.
9. Primary cardholders on a WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard and/or WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard for Business credit card account (“Eligible Cardholder(s)”) have access to “Status Lift”, an annual benefit to help Eligible Cardholders achieve the Silver, Gold or Platinum status faster each year, by providing them a supplemental method to earn tier qualifying spend.
Eligible Cardholders will earn the equivalent of 200 CAD in tier qualifying spend for every $5,000 in Eligible Purchases (as defined below) (“Status Lift”) charged to their WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard and/or WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard for Business credit card account (each, an “Eligible RBC World Elite Account”) during a Qualifying Year (as defined below). Status Lift(s) will be added to their other tier qualifying spend and count towards reaching their next WestJet Rewards tier. If an Eligible Cardholder has two (2) Eligible RBC World Elite Accounts, the Eligible Purchases (as defined below) made with both accounts will be combined towards reaching the $5,000 in Eligible Purchases.
“Eligible Purchases” means the total of net purchase transactions, made by all cardholders on the Eligible RBC World Elite Account, that appear on the Eligible RBC World Elite Account monthly statements prepared during a Qualifying Year (as defined below), minus returns, other credits, fees, interest charges, and cash advances (such as balance transfers, cash-like transactions and bill payments that are not pre-authorized charges set up with a merchant).
“Qualifying Year” means January 1 to December 31 of each calendar year. For new Eligible RBC World Elite Accounts, it means the period between the first Eligible RBC World Elite Account monthly statement date, and December 31.
A Status Lift may be awarded up to fifty (50) times per Qualifying Year, which is equivalent to 10,000 CAD in tier qualifying spend. A Status Lift will be awarded approximately ten (10) business days after the monthly statement date for which the $5,000 in Eligible Purchases is reached.
For each Qualifying Year, Status Lifts are awarded based on the total Eligible Purchases posted to an Eligible RBC World Elite Account(s) until the December monthly statement date (that is the date the statement is prepared). This means that some purchases made in December may not count towards the $5,000 in Eligible Purchases for that Qualifying Year. For example, if monthly statements are prepared on the 27th day of each month and a purchase is made on December 28, the transaction will be posted to the January monthly statement and will not count towards the $5,000 in Eligible Purchases for the current Qualifying Year. Status Lift(s) and Eligible Purchases will reset to zero (0) at the start of each Qualifying Year.
For an Eligible Cardholder to earn a Status Lift, their Eligible RBC World Elite Account must be open and in good standing at the time the Status Lift is awarded. If an Eligible RBC World Elite Account is closed before the end of a Qualifying Year, WestJet reserves the right to remove any Status Lift(s) and/or tier upgrade(s) the Eligible Cardholder may have received through this benefit.
Tier qualifying spend earned through Status Lift have no monetary or other exchange value, and cannot be sold or transferred.
WestJet and Royal Bank of Canada reserve the right to change or withdraw the Status Lift benefit at any time. WestJet, not Royal Bank of Canada, is solely responsible for the WestJet Rewards Program (“Program”), the terms of the Program (including earning, redemption and administration of WestJet points), Program changes and for the Status Lift benefit. For full Program terms and conditions, visit www.westjet.com

You will receive 5,000 welcome WestJet points upon your first purchase (“Welcome WestJet Points”). The Welcome WestJet Points will appear on your monthly credit card statement and in your WestJet Rewards account, accessible at westjet.com/account, up to six (6) weeks after your first purchase transaction date, provided that your WestJet RBC Mastercard credit card account (“Credit Card Account”) remains open and in good standing at that time, “good standing” meaning that your Credit Card Account must not be past due for more than two (2) consecutive Credit Card Account statement periods, closed, charged off or in credit revoked status at that time.

The transaction posting date of each Qualifying Transaction, not the transaction date, will determine whether the transaction will count towards the Qualifying Transaction Amount.
17. As the primary cardholder with a WestJet RBC Mastercard (“Eligible Primary Cardholders”), once approved for the WestJet RBC Mastercard, please allow 4-6 weeks from the transaction date of your first purchase for the Credit Card companion voucher (“Welcome Credit Card Companion Voucher”) to appear on your WestJet Rewards account, accessible at westjet.com/account. The Welcome Credit Card Companion Voucher is available to new Eligible Primary Cardholders only. Existing or former Eligible Primary Cardholders, applying for or transferring to a WestJet RBC Mastercard, as well as additional cardholders (co-applicant and authorized users), are not eligible for the Welcome Credit Card Companion Voucher.
Twelve (12) months following the opening of your WestJet RBC Mastercard credit card account and annually thereafter, you will receive a round-trip Credit Card companion voucher (“Annual Credit Card Companion Voucher”) if a minimum of $2,500 in net purchases (less credits and refunds, and excluding cash advances, cash-like transactions, interest charges, fees, credit or debit adjustments)(“Minimum Annual Spend”) is posted to your credit card account in the 12-month period following the issuance of your previous Credit Card companion voucher (“Voucher Earn Year”). If the Minimum Annual Spend is met in a given Voucher Earn Year, the Annual Credit Card Companion Voucher will be awarded 4-6 weeks after the WestJet RBC Mastercard annual fee for that year is charged.
For new Eligible Primary Cardholders as of November 5th, 2025 onwards: the Minimal Annual Spend will be tracked following the issuance of the Welcome Credit Card Companion Voucher for the subsequent Voucher Earn Year.
For existing Eligible Primary Cardholders prior to November 5, 2025: the Minimal Annual Spend will be tracked following the issuance of the Annual Credit Card Companion Voucher on or after November 5, 2025 for the subsequent Voucher Earn Year.
For an Eligible Primary Cardholder to receive a companion voucher, their WestJet RBC Mastercard credit card account must be open and in good standing at the time the companion voucher is awarded. Terms and conditions for the Annual Credit Card Companion Voucher, Minimum Annual Spend and Voucher Earn Year are established by WestJet, not Royal Bank of Canada, and WestJet reserves the right to cancel, modify or withdraw this benefit at any time.
Each companion voucher can be redeemed by an Eligible Primary Cardholder for a round-trip flight for travel in Canada and to/from the continental U.S (excludes Hawaii) for $199 for UltraBasic, Econo and EconoFlex fares (“Economy Fares”) or for $299 for Premium and PremiumFlex fares (“Premium Fares”). Applicable taxes, fees, charges, and other ATC (Air Transportation Charges) on the Credit Card companion voucher must be paid at time of booking.
A companion voucher may only be used: A) for all published and eligible Economy Fares and Premium Fares wholly marketed and operated by WestJet; B) if the companion is travelling with you on the same itinerary; and C) for new bookings made through westjet.com or WestJet’s Contact Centre. A Credit Card companion voucher cannot be: A) used for Business, BusinessFlex or Member Exclusive fares; B) applied to existing reservations; nor C) used for group bookings, WestJet Vacations or Sunwing Vacations bookings. Unless otherwise stated, companion voucher fees are quoted in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are quoted for flights originating in Canada. Companion voucher bookings originating outside of Canada will be in the currency of the departure country. Other terms and conditions apply. Visit westjet.com/creditcard-companion-voucher for complete details.
19. Primary cardholders with a WestJet RBC Mastercard (“Eligible Primary Cardholders”) may exchange each valid Credit Card companion voucher for 5,000 WestJet points. All requests to exchange a Credit Card companion voucher for 5,000 WestJet points can be made by logging in to your WestJet Rewards account, accessible at westjet.com/account or in the mobile app, prior to the expiry of the Credit Card companion voucher. WestJet points have no expiry date, no cash value and are non-transferrable.
Once an Eligible Primary Cardholder has requested the exchange of a Credit Card companion voucher for 5,000 WestJet points, the request will be considered final and cannot be cancelled or reversed. WestJet points can be used towards payment of: (1) WestJet-marketed base fares; (2) certain WestJet ancillaries, such as checked baggage, cabin upgrades and pre-reserved seats; (3) all taxes, fees and other ATC (Air Transportation Charges) on WestJet-marketed flights; (4) WestJet Vacations packages, eligible Sunwing Vacations packages or WestJet Vacations Quebec packages; (5) purchases from participating designated partners; and (6) purchases through the WestJet eStore. No retroactive redemption of WestJet points will be permitted. Minimum redemption of 2,500 WestJet points applies when purchasing UltraBasic, Economy, Premium and Business fares; the entire base fare and other Air Transportation Charges (Other ATC) must be paid with WestJet points when purchasing a Member Exclusive fare. A minimum redemption amount of 5,000 WestJet points per booking applies for WestJet Vacations package bookings, Sunwing Vacations package bookings or WestJet Vacations Quebec package bookings.
20. Earn (i) 1.5 WestJet points per $1 spent on eligible WestJet flights, WestJet Vacations packages and Sunwing Vacations packages (“Eligible Travel”), and (ii) 1 WestJet point per $1 spent on all other purchases when you pay with your WestJet RBC Mastercard. The additional 0.5 WestJet point you earn per $1 spent on Eligible Travel (a) is in addition to the 1 WestJet point per $1 you earn on all other purchases and is calculated separately, and (b) will only be awarded if WestJet, WestJet Vacations or Sunwing Vacations appears as the merchant on your monthly credit card statement.
21. Earn (i) 1.5 WestJet points per $1 spent on eligible purchases in the following categories: Restaurants, Food Delivery Services, Digital Subscriptions, Streaming Services and Digital Games (“Eligible Purchases”) made from merchants that are classified by the following eligible Mastercard’s Merchant Category Codes (“Eligible MCCs”), and (ii) 1 WestJet point per $1 spent on other everyday purchases when you pay with your WestJet RBC Mastercard.
Eligible MCCs:
Restaurants and Food Delivery Services MCCs:
- 5812 Restaurants and eating places
- 5813 Bars, cocktail lounges, and nightclubs
- 5814 Fast food restaurants
Digital Subscriptions, Streaming Services and Digital Games MCCs:
- 5815 Digital Goods Media - Books, Movies, Music
- 5816 Digital Goods – Games
- 5817 Digital Goods - Applications (Excludes Games)
- 5818 Digital Goods - Large Digital Goods Merchants
- 4899 Cable, Satellite, and Other Pay Television/Radio/Streaming Services.
The additional 0.5 WestJet point you earn per $1 spent on Eligible Purchases (i) is in addition to the 1 WestJet point per $1 you earn on all other purchases and are calculated separately, and (ii) will only be awarded on Eligible Purchases made from merchants that are classified by an Eligible MCC.
As an example, this means that even though a merchant may sell streaming services and/or digital games, a purchase made at this merchant may not necessarily qualify for the additional 0.5 WestJet point per $1 if the merchant is not classified by an Eligible MCC.
Royal Bank and WestJet reserve the right to cancel, modify or withdraw this benefit at any time.22. 24. The primary cardholder on a WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard for Business account (“Primary Business Cardholder”) will enjoy all the benefits of WestJet Silver status (“Silver Benefits”), starting within ten (10) days from their WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard for Business account (“Eligible RBC World Elite Account”) approval date, until December 31st of the following calendar year (“First Year Silver Benefit”).
Once the First Year Silver Benefit expires, the Primary Business Cardholder will continue to enjoy the Silver Benefits for the next Qualifying Year (as defined below) if a total of at least $30,000 in Eligible Purchases (as defined below) was charged to their Eligible RBC World Elite Account in the preceding Qualifying Year (“Subsequent Silver Benefit”), and so on thereafter.
“Eligible Purchases” means the total of net purchase transactions, made by all cardholders on the WestJet RBC Business Account, that appear on the Eligible RBC World Elite Account monthly statements prepared during a Qualifying Year (as defined below), minus returns, other credits, fees, interest charges, and cash advances (such as balance transfers, cash-like transactions and bill payments that are not pre-authorized charges set up with a merchant).
“Qualifying Year” means January 1 to December 31 of each calendar year. For new Eligible RBC World Elite Accounts, it means the period between the first WestJet RBC Account’s monthly statement date, and December 31.
If, while enjoying the First Year Silver Benefit or a Subsequent Silver Benefit, a total of less than $30,000 in Eligible Purchases is charged to their Eligible RBC World Elite Account during that Qualifying Year, the Primary Business Cardholder will lose the Silver Benefits starting on the following January 1st. Thereafter, each time at least $30,000 in Eligible Purchases is charged to their Eligible RBC World Elite Account at any time during a Qualifying Year, the Primary Business Cardholder will re-gain access to Silver Benefits starting on the first day of the following account statement period, and will enjoy the Silver Benefits until December 31st of the following Qualifying Year.
To establish if a minimum of $30,000 in Eligible Purchases was charged to an Eligible RBC World Elite Account in a Qualifying Year, we will look at the Eligible Purchases posted to the Eligible RBC World Elite Account until the December monthly statement date (that is the date the statement is prepared). This means that some purchases made in December may not count towards the $30,000 in Eligible Purchases for that Qualifying Year. For example, if monthly statements are prepared on the 27th day of each month and a purchase is made on December 28, the transaction will be posted to the January monthly statement and will not count towards the $30,000 in Eligible Purchases for the current Qualifying Year. Eligible Purchases will reset to zero (0) at the beginning of each Qualifying Year.
First Year Silver Benefit and Subsequent Silver Benefit (i) are solely for the benefit of the Primary Business Cardholder whose Eligible RBC World Elite Account is open and in good standing, whether the Primary Business Cardholder is a business owner, a signing authority or a simple employee, (ii) are not transferrable, (iii) do not provide the Primary Business Cardholder with the 4,000 CAD in tier qualifying spend normally required to achieve Silver status, (iv) do not replace nor override any higher WestJet tier status the Primary Business Cardholder may otherwise be enjoying in accordance with the WestJet Rewards Program, and (v) are not available to existing or former WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard for Business primary business cardholders, applying for or transferring to a WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard for Business.
For more information on the Silver Benefits, visit westjet.com/silver.
WestJet, not Royal Bank of Canada, is solely responsible for the WestJet Rewards Program (“Program”), the terms of the Program (including earning, redemption and administration of WestJet points), Program changes and providing Silver Benefits to eligible Primary Business Cardholders. For full Program terms and conditions, visit www.westjet.com.
25. To benefit from this offer and receive 35,000 welcome WestJet points upon your first purchase (“Welcome WestJet Points”), your application must be approved by Royal Bank of Canada (“Royal Bank”).
The Welcome WestJet Points will appear on your monthly credit card statement and in your WestJet Rewards account, accessible at westjet.com/account, up to six (6) weeks after your first purchase transaction date, provided that your WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard for Business credit card account (“Credit Card Account”) remains open and in good standing at that time, “good standing” meaning that your Credit Card Account must not be past due for more than two (2) consecutive Credit Card Account statement periods, closed, charged-off or in credit revoked status at that time.
Only the primary business cardholder on the Credit Card Account is eligible for the Welcome WestJet Points; secondary business cardholders are not eligible for this offer.
If you close your Credit Card Account or change it for another type of RBC Royal Bank credit card before the Welcome WestJet Points have been awarded to your WestJet Rewards account, you may not receive the points.
26. If you are a Silver member, you will earn 3 additional WestJet points per $1 spent on eligible WestJet flights (including base fares and surcharges, seat selection, checked bags and cabin upgrade purchases, but excluding taxes), which totals 6 WestJet points per $1 spent, when you pay with your WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard for Business. The 3 additional WestJet points per $1 spent on eligible WestJet flights (i) are in addition to the 3 WestJet points per $1 you earn on eligible WestJet flights and are calculated separately, and (ii) will only be awarded (a) if WestJet appears as the merchant on your monthly credit card statement, (b) as long as you remain a Silver status member, and (c) within 30 days of completion of travel.
27. Earn 3 WestJet points per $1 spent on Telecommunications, Electronics and Shipping services purchased from merchants classified by the following eligible Mastercard’s Merchant Category Codes (“Eligible MCCs”) and 1.5 WestJet points per $1 spent on all other purchases when you pay with your WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard for Business.

The additional 1.5 WestJet points per $1 spent on Telecommunications, Electronics and Shipping services (i) are in addition to the 1.5 WestJet points per $1 you earn on all other purchases and are calculated separately, and (ii) will only be awarded on purchases made at merchants classified by an Eligible MCC.
Even though some merchants may sell Telecommunications, Electronics or Shipping services, purchases made at these merchants may not necessarily qualify for the additional 1.5 WestJet points for every $1 if the merchant is not classified by an Eligible MCC. Also, merchants that are not classified by an Eligible MCC may be located on the premises of other vendors that are classified by an Eligible MCC, and purchases made at these merchants may not qualify for the additional 1.5 WestJet points per $1.
Royal Bank of Canada (“Royal Bank”) cannot guarantee that a merchant selling Telecommunications, Electronics or Shipping services is classified by an Eligible MCC and in no event will Royal Bank be liable or responsible for any claims with respect to purchases made at a merchant that is not classified by an Eligible MCC. RBC and WestJet reserve the right to cancel, modify or withdraw this benefit at any time.
28. Earn 3 WestJet points per $1 spent on eligible WestJet flights and WestJet Vacation packages and 1.5 WestJet points per $1 spent on all other purchases when you pay with your WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard for Business. The additional 1.5 WestJet points per $1 spent on eligible WestJet flights and WestJet Vacations packages (i) are in addition to the 1.5 WestJet points per $1 you earn on all other purchases and are calculated separately, and (ii) will only be awarded if WestJet or WestJet Vacations appears as the merchant on your monthly credit card statement. This means that if you purchase a WestJet flight or a WestJet Vacations package from a travel agency or a third-party booking site, you may not be eligible for the additional 1.5 WestJet points per $1.
