Just left this slice of paradise this morning and so sad to be heading home. Spent the last week on property with my husband, 3 kids and 1 girlfriend. The kids are all between the ages of 20-23. This is our 4th time at an Iberostar resort and the 3rd at a Grand, and the Grand Bavaro did not disappoint. The property itself is stunning, the landscaping beautiful and rooms large! We had great meals at all the restaurants, except the French - just not our style. Was happy to see there were no reservations required at any except the Japanese! We never had a wait. Drinks were always good and solid selection. Cannot say enough about the service - Edward and Danelo our butlers were superb. We had bottles of wine and a bottle of bourbon at our request and fresh ice every day. They booked us our spa and golf reservations, Japanese dinner and made sure our private transfer to the airport was all scheduled. We even came back to the room one day with a hot bubble bath with fresh flowers and animal towel art done for us. Mayerix, our bartender at the swim up bar was always happy and so busy!!! She was great! DC aka Dark Chocolate, one of our Iberostar friends kept the volleyball and pool table going and kids laughing! So many others at breakfast each morning and our lunch and dinner servers. For those golfing, the course is outstanding and the spa was a relaxing break! We cannot wait to come back!

If you’re looking for paradise, Iberostar Grand Punta Cana is it. The grounds and resort are beautiful and extremely well kept. The staff, particularly our concierge Eliezer, was amazing. Everyone staff member seemed happy to be there - always a smile, always laughing and always accommodating. They truly make the experience. There were more than enough dining choices, and the buffets offered different items each day. The food was delicious at each restaurant. The only “negative” was the sales pitch for the vacation club. He was nicely-nicey until he realized we weren’t going to buy, then he became borderline rude. My husband took care of that, but it wasn’t necessary. Highly recommend!! You won’t be disappointed.

Food is amazing, resort is old and needs some refreshing!! Our #1 complaint is the restaurants were very hot except French, made it very difficult to enjoy your meal! Entertainment is dull, very boring - not enough! Service at pool and beach are so so, not enough people walking around asking if you need anything. Salvador our butler was excellent! The lobby bar is NOT air conditioned!! Men are required to wear pants in most restaurants, but it was soooo hot inside restaurants made it very uncomfortable!! Check in was longggg and slow!! I won’t return - we were told 5 star resort, felt like 3.5-4. Not impressed!

We would like to preface this review by letting you know we are repeat guests and this is a long review. Now that we have been back for a week we have had time to reflect on why this is considered our Home away from Home! It is definitely the People! Yes, the grounds are immaculate and the rooms are comfortable but nothing can replace the way the people at IGB make you feel like family! From the minute you arrive and Willy, Abdul , Yeri and Raloidy greet you at the front entrance you know you are home. Angel, France, Camila and VIP prestige team Rock! Our Butler's Danilo and Armando ,there are no words that can express the exceptional service they provide! The Prestige beach crew Augusto, Jesus and Manuel, Muchas Gracias! Tobias, Brandel and Tomas will keep your drinks full. A special thanks to Alexander, Anna, Javiela, Juan Pablo, Yari, Lorain, David, Carlos, Marcos, Manuel , Johan and the rest of the restaurant staff. Chefs Alex and Ramon thank you for always taking care of us. The wonderful ladies at the Spa, Miguelina and Rosaura and their crew for treating us special! Last but not least Annie, Ruth and the rest of the entertainment team for getting the guests up to dance! We miss you all and we will see you soon!! I can't forget Rodriguez for always making sure my wife gets her Fresh Coconuts!

We had an amazing stay here!! There were a few people who made it more enjoyable they were Jasiel and Samuel in the buffet and Italian restaurant, daily they went above and beyond expectations and made us feel beyond special. Agusto in the star prestige area at the beach. Edwardo was our butler and checked in every day with us and had coffee delivered to our room every morning! Yaritza who checked us in was extremely friendly and helpful with our change from the Bavaro suites to the Grand. The entire staff here have been very friendly and helpful even the ground crew will stop and say hi! The food was amazing except the smoke house where I don’t recommend eating. The facility is AMAZING beautiful property! Can’t wait to come back!!
