Fanny was great for the water aerobics and we really loved the service it made the trip so much better. The food was good but we were not pre-warned about dress code and were not allowed into the French restaurant. The food was average but the best thing was the steak and chimichurri.

Great experience staying here for our friend's wedding

We had an incredible time at our friend's wedding at Dreams Riviera Cancun! All of the staff was responsive and accommodating to our needs, and they hosted an incredible ceremony and reception. The food, service, and amenities were amazing, and we would highly recommend!

This hotel May be a dream for kids but it is a nightmare for adults.

While the children’s playground was great and there were certain staff members that stood out (Santos at the VIP Restaurant, JACIL and Antonio at habachi grill, Gidel at the Italian restaurant and Victor at the pool), the management and concierge members are complete morons. I would wager to say that outside of the children’s pool, this hotel was more of a nightmare than a dream. I called and spoke to the concierge a week in advance to make sure my daughter would get a banner and a mini cake sent to the room on her bday. I followed up 2 days in advance and they confirmed, but by 6pm on the day of her birthday, we got nothing. My husband went to confirm again and the banner came as we went to dinner but mini cake never arrived. On Saturday night, the music was blasting until 1245 am making it hard for me and my 3 year old to sleep. I called the front desk and was told they could do nothing about it because it was a private property unless we wanted to move rooms. They assured me something would be taken off the bill but nothing was done. The next day, the wind gusts of 15-20 mph made it so we couldn’t open umbrellas for shade. I told them I had a young child and we needed shade and that they needed to give us a cabana for her sun protection. After an hour of missed vacation time complaining at the front desk, they finally obliged to give us a cabana near the restaurant. Keep in mind the majority of the people at the pool had young kids at the splash park and 75% of cabanas were empty. We were taken to the VIP Area upon arrival which supposedly had upscale liquor. I asked for a mojito but they had no mint. I asked for a Moscow mule but they had no ginger beer. The Mexican restaurant took 2 hours (it wasn’t even full) and was some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. My daughter couldn’t go in the kids club to decorate a cupcake because she was 1 day shy of 3. Yes, my daughter had a great time but I would never go back and if you don’t have kids STAY AWAY. Also the amount of seaweed on the beach is disgusting and despite them bulldozing the seaweed away, it’s back in a few hours.

My first time in cancun and it was amazing. From the rooms to the service. Everything was a joy. And definitely will return again.
