Huuuuuge hotel - more of a resort

MarkusW171 (Zurich, Switzerland) on Jun 01, 2024

This is one of the largest hotels I have ever seen, and it feels that way. So don’t expect anything charming or quaint. Other than for a conference / business meetings (since it has the facilities), the only reason you should go to this hotel is for Disney (next door / they have a shuttle) or the resort itself. Staff OK friendly, just all very standard and large scale. Rooms OK.

Not the place to go to recharge

Stephanie C (Clayton, North Carolina) on May 30, 2024

Stayed here for a few days with my husband to try to decompress after a stressful few days. Bad idea!! The check in process was quite long. Adults were drunk and behaving poorly. Children were largely unsupervised. The food was mediocre, but crazy expensive for what it was. Possibilities of eating anywhere else is limited without a car, or you can pay crazy parking fees or take an Uber everywhere. We had a laser show room, the show was very underwhelming and was not what I expected from the website. We ended up spending most of our stay in our room because the large crowd and amount of noise was not my idea of relaxing. Favorite part of our stay on property was sitting on the balcony together nightly watching the Disney fireworks in the distance. Im thankful we had Marriott points to use for this stay. There is an automatic charge of $42 daily for the resort, soon to be $47. Self parking is $32, and valet parking is $50. That’s in addition to the room cost and is not covered with points. Our hotel bill was roughly $850 for a four night stay using points for 2 of us. With so many places to choose from in Orlando, including Marriott properties, we won’t likely be returning to this one.

Hugely Disappointing. A Waste of Time and Money

07Seven (Ocean City, Maryland) on May 26, 2024

If your passion is waiting in long lines (for example, an hour or so to check in and at least ten minutes to get to the front desk at non-check in times and long lines everywhere else), then this is the hotel for you. If you enjoy paying high prices for mediocre food, then by all means come to this hotel. If you want a huge swimming pool but absolutely no chair availability for most of the day and evening, this hotel checks that box too. Lastly, if you look forward to being charged $53.00 a night for valet parking only to have to wait 45 minutes for your car when you want it (and, in my case, having the valet driver get into an accident with your car), then you have come to the right place. Clearly, this hotel is woefully understaffed at every conceivable area (front desk, restaurants, valet parking, and their "to go" restaurant to point out a few). Suffice it to say we will never, ever return to this property. All of that said, the people with whom we dealt at the hotel, when we could actually get to them, were very nice. For example, Winnie at the front desk and Nicolas at Longitude and Latitude were outstanding. We ate at Siro, their Italian restaurant. The menu was uninspired, the choices were limited, and the food was mediocre at best (too bad because the prices were high). The breakfasts at Longitude and Latitude, while very expensive, were at least very good (as was the service). Also, the restaurant outside by the pool was quite nice. We have done a fair bit of traveling and this is about the most disappointing hotel experience, in every respect, we can remember. If you are not traveling with children, avoid this hotel. It was a remarkable experience in all of the wrong ways.

Marriott World Center .. Lucia and Bel made it well!

stephen p on May 26, 2024

Great laser show.. great room.. a little issue at the pool but Lucia and Bell both made it well! (Rhyme intended) . The hotel is lucky to have them both because honestly other employees were nearly not as attentive. In any case I highly recommend! !

Do not stay here

Tino V on May 24, 2024

If you want stay with your family and kids @ this hotel I would not stay here again. The customer service here is horrible. Come in a limo and they make you load your own bags on the cart. Come to check in marriot ambassador member and this is how they treat there customers. No upgrade no welcome gift. One star
