Partner Airlines

Connecting you to the world

WestJet Rewards has different types of partner airline agreements that reward members travelling across our global network—even when flying on other airlines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Interline agreements between airlines facilitate travel for guests who require flights with more than one airline to reach their final destination. These agreements allow guests to travel across the networks of multiple airlines, on Partner-Marketed Flights, with the convenience of a single reservation and the confidence that their itinerary includes appropriate connection times.

Codeshare allows multiple airlines to sell space on the same flight as if it were their flight. The airline selling seats is referred to as the marketing carrier; the airline providing the aircraft, crew and ground-handling support is referred to as the operating carrier.

A Partner-Marketed Flight is a flight identified by a two-letter carrier code other than WS preceding the flight number and represents a flight sold by a Partner airline, including those sold by on WestJet.com through our Interline agreements.

A WestJet-Marketed Flight is a flight identified by a WS carrier code preceding the flight number and represents a flight sold by WestJet, which may be operated by WestJet or another carrier, including those seats sold through our codeshare agreements.
