  1. How fees are charged

    • Fees depend on your fare, destination, when you book, and when you pay. 
    • Fees are charged in CAD or USD, depending on where your trip starts 
    • For flights departing outside of Canada and U.S., fees are converted to the local currency 
    • GST applies to itineraries that start in Canada.

  2. How bag benefits work

    • If you are a WestJet Rewards member, your tier benefits apply instead of the bag fees shown by fare type. 
    • The WestJet RBC® World Elite Mastercard‡ includes your first checked bag free when the card is used to book your flight. 
    • Bag benefits don’t combine. You’ll receive the highest single benefit that applies to your booking.
