Service dogs

WestJet and WestJet Encore allows individually trained service dogs, which includes psychiatric service dogs to travel in the cabin of the aircraft, free of charge, when on duty to or from most destinations.

Emotional support dogs are also currently accepted for travel; however these dogs require additional documentation.

If you are travelling with a specialty dog (dogs which do not provide a service to a person with a disability, but are trained to perform tasks such as search and rescue, avalanche searches, or to provide comfort therapy to another individual), please see our Pets section.
