Pros but also Cons
familytravelEssex (United Kingdom) on Jan 08, 2026
Our experience was mixed. Pros We were in a pair of standard rooms and we found them to be good. The housekeeping was very good and Sonya was lovely. We had a problem with our electrics and it was dealt with swiftly. There are 3(ish) beaches in 2 bays and they were kept clean. Plenty of towels available. Pearle in the Pelican bar was warm and friendly and remembered our usual drinks order. The Cove restaurant was really good, as was the Palm BBQ and breakfast. Private fishing with Alex and Kevin was great, really recommend as it is possible to fish from the rocky outcrop, so great for people who can’t sail. They were patient and knowledgeable. Cons The management did not deal with the ridiculous issue of sunbed reservation adequately. To see 6 beds in a row on the beach already reserved at 10pm the night before and the staff refused to touch them as they had personal belongings on (Christmas decorations!) was ludicrous. Consequently there were days when there appeared to be no available beds on the beaches. Watersports team - on one day I gave them the benefit of the doubt regarding their surliness, unapproachability and lack of assistance but the second time they were the same. (With the exception of the lady with long braids and glasses who was helpful). They tried to make me sign the waiver without telling me about the sea and wind conditions, despite that being highlighted in bold. They chatted amongst themselves and ignored people waiting. They had zero enthusiasm for their work or the customers. The Reef restaurant. Adequate for lunch but not for dinner. The portions were tiny and on one occasion two of our party were served raw chicken skewers. Reservations. I managed to book restaurants for the first half of our break via our travel agent but for the second half I was told that on the day would be fine. It was not. We were not able to visit the Cove for the remainder of our break as it was fully booked which was very disappointing.
Lovely resort

The resort was beautiful especially its location and its private beach was gorgeous. I enjoyed having the privacy of my own pool (shared between only a few other rooms instead of the whole resort). The room was smaller than The food was nice with good service and housekeeping did a good job. Would recommend.
