Could not have been better!

We could not have been more pleased with SunBreeze Hotel!! It was absolutely perfect in every way. (If they could control the weather, I would give them 25 stars!) I am so happy we have now found "our home" in San Pedro. The service: absolutely impeccable. Our bags were on a TropicAir flight later than the one we were on, so after Ryan, who was so nice, took us to our room and oriented us, he took our baggage claim tags to retrieve the bags for us when they arrived. Within 30 minutes, he had them at our room - absolutely amazing! (Ryan also gave us great restaurant recommendations that he, personally, frequents and they were spot on.) Rodell (and the girl, whose name escapes me) at the front desk were above wonderful in every way; they were kind, helpful, informative, and always smiling. Housekeeping was superb, too - Maria seemed to have our room most often and we were never disappointed. I got to visit with her briefly - again, just super kind. Our room had plenty of towels, tissues, soap/shampoo/body wash and fresh linens. The employees at the bar and the restaurant were also amazing every single time we were there (which was more than we had planned, due to bad weather). EVERYONE at SunBreeze was consistently helpful and positive - it gave a really great vibe to the place! They even quickly answered all my questions via email before we ever arrived! When it was time to leave, the took our bags over to TropicAir for us, making it very convenient. The rooms: beautiful and spacious, very cold air conditioner, comfortable beds and pillows, plenty of supplies, plugs everywhere, magnifying mirror and hair dryer in the bathroom, safe that was secure and bolted down, ALL lights worked (which never happens in a hotel room!), and great water pressure. The first day the water in the shower wasn't hot but after that, it would get super super hot to the point we'd have to turn it down cooler. I couldn't have been happier with the room and even the TV had plenty of channels, although I insisted it would not be used during the trip! We had more than enough room to spread out our dive gear and let it dry, the few times it got to be used. And, the table/chairs out front and the hammock around the corner were very nice touches! The hotel in general: absolutely beautiful!! The grounds were very well maintained, the pool was sparkling (lucked into getting to use it for a whopping 30 minutes all week because of the weather!) and bigger than it seems in photos, and there were tons of seating options around the property - in the lobby, sofas on the patio, chairs overlooking the water, bunches of chaises by the pool, seats around a firepit ... anywhere you would want to sit, they provided chairs. The weather was such that we really didn't go down onto the sand, but I did see a picnic table there and I would expect in nice weather, they'd have chairs there too. The Blue Water Grill bar and restaurant: supremely delicious!! We were expecting a "hotel restaurant" so wow, were we surprised and impressed! The drinks were strong and plentiful (very delicious frozen pina coladas!), the beer was cold, and the food - unreal! We had a few meals there, both at the restaurant and the bar, and everything was top notch including the service! Do not miss the coconut shrimp skewers!! They even had very nice live music most nights and were kind enough to roll down the plastic when the rain started blowing into the seating areas. DO NOT MISS eating here; check out their specialty nights and go, more than once! The location: perfection. Literally right across the street from TropicAir terminal and with Ambergris Divers onsite. We couldn't have asked for a better location to be right in the heart of everything. The guys even told us the shortcut around the end of the building to save a few steps getting to Front Street. It felt very safe and secure, too. My husband had a massage at the salon in the lobby and was very impressed with that, too. If my review isn't clear enough, everything about SunBreeze was better than we ever could have expected. We will definitely return there and will not look for any other places in San Pedro. THANK YOU for an amazing week!! See you next trip, SunBreeze Family!!
Really nice, clean, comfortable place right on the beach and walking distance from so much!

We stayed at the Sun Breeze for the five nights that we were in San Pedro, and we were very happy with the room, the location, the property, the pool, and the service. Overall, it was a really wonderful trip. The property is oriented well to afford good ocean and pool views from the rooms, and the pool deck was quite comfortable. The place is right across the street from the airport (so you do get some small plane noise each day as they take off over the property), but it's not offensive at all. One of the best parts about our stay was the restaurant & bar (a private concession, not owned by the hotel). The food was really good, the service was usually outstanding, and the guys at the bar were great. Drinks were rather weak, but it was so affordable, it was nothing to just make everything a 'double'. The restaurant is wide open to the ocean, except for when there's weather and the pull down the plastic walls. We did venture off-property some, but kept returning to the on-premise restaurant because it was so good. And even though it's a private concession, they still allow room charges.
