When we got in our rooms we had a letter on the table saying do not open the curtains because work men are outside We was only told via email a day before departure that there were building works started, im sure thete we’re more workmen than holiday makers.

Just came back from a 3 week trip across Canada and can honestly say this was my favourite Hotel. Even workers in other hotels told us they think the Rimrock was the best hotel in Banff. The staff were exceptional going above and beyond. We felt staff and management alike genuinely wanted to please, unlike most hotels accross canada who were more interested in getting a good review from us. The Rimrock is the only hotel i felt i wanted to say thankyou. We had a free shuttle into banff right outside the hotel,so easy to pop into town. Breakfast buffet was 10/10. Would book if you want to eat in Restaurant as got booked up very quickly. We stayed in the fairmont lake louise for one night which although luxurious and is a beautiful hotel in a stunning setting, was somehow devoid of soul compared to the Rimrock. This was a once in a lifetime trip made all the better to this hotel and it's staff.

The staff when we checked in were very professional Upgraded us which was good ( presumably because of all the work going on) It was my husband’s 60 th birthday and I spoke to the reception staff about doing something special which they said they would. Its classed as a 5 star hotel. It was disappointing to come back from a day out and there was nothing to acknowledge his big birthday I spoke to reception the following day and the reply was I requested something and they must have forgotten. This was very disappointing You only get one 60th and only one in Banff I thought when we checked out they may have done something. Obviously have too high expectations

My husband and daughter came with me to this wonderful hotel. Perched high above Banff town it has great views of the mountains from all floors. A 5 minute walk to the Upper Hot Springs Pool. Maybe 7-10 minute walk to the Gondola up to the top of Sulphur Mountain. Service and food first Class. Great indoor swimming pool and sauna/steam. We used it as our base to take in 2 shows at the Banff School of Fine Arts performed by excellent singers and musici9ans from around the world. Hotel provides free shuttle into town or free tickets on public transportation.

A Christmas to remember, filled with that Christmas spirit. Decorations, Christmas cookies, hot chocolate, and Santa himself... everything made our stay simply magical. The rooms are big, spacious bathrooms with ample space for your goodies. Beds are comfy, and pillows sleep like a dream, but most importantly, the VIEWS! I will be back if not for that alone. Staff members are super friendly and helpful, no task is too much of a hinder. We received private lifts into and out of Banff town which was such a plus. Outdoor skating and firepit experience was a blast. We were so sad to leave this beautiful hotel. We highly recommend a visit and look forward to seeing you all again this year November.
